Energy accumulators are one of the key directions of research and applied development in the spheres of power generation, saving and efficiency. Lithium-ion batteries (LIB) are widely used in portable power sources for modern electronics. However, currently the most perspective sphere of their use is transport industry. In this article we discuss the perspectives of using LIB in road vehicles manufacturing, as well as the main trends development of new cathode materials for LIB. In the medium-term perspective, the issue that is the closest to commercial use is related to nano-technologies and new materials (including nano-materials in LIB components (cathode, anode, electrolyte fluid, separator) that can raise the characteristics of these accumulators to a new level of quality and efficiency.
Thanks to a number of positive factors benefiting a favorable investment climate in the People’s Republic of China, the Russian investors keep on exporting capitals and hi-technologies to this country and creating a number of companies and businesses, including enterprises, specialized in manufacturing power and energy products. In this paper we analyzed the relevant literature and compared managerial models at Chinese enterprises with those in China managed by the Russian based on well-established theories related to adopting foreign management at the enterprises in China. In the empirical study we concentrated on certain problems emerging at the enterprises where the Russian managers have been present and involved actively in the decision-making. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a preliminary analysis through the eyes of both Russian and Chinese specialists.
Sound source localization is always of great value in many engineering applications. In this paper, a new instrument is designed to accomplish the purpose of localizing the sound source by a relatively compact structure. This bionics structure is designed to mimic the localization function of the ears of the parasitoid fly Ormia ochracea, and it consists of three elastic diaphragms, three bars which connected to the diaphragms, and the other mechanical components. The analysis of this structure’s dynamic behavior shows that the incident angles of the sound have special relationship to the responses of this instrument, and the incident angles can be estimated by detecting the vibrations of the three elastic diaphragms. Compared with traditional microphone arrays, this instrument has the advantage of compaction and higher integrated level.
Nonlinear bearing forces of ball bearing under five-dimensional loads are given, and five-DOF dynamic equations of rotor ball bearing system are constructed. Bifurcation of periodic motion of rotor ball bearing system in unbalance-rotating speed and radial clearance-rotating speed parametric domains are studied by use of continuation-shooting algorithm. Results show that the way of bifurcation and stability of period-1 motion vary with radial clearance and unbalance.
