The spindle behavior and MPF activity changes in the progression of oocyte maturation were investigated and compared with cytological observation and kinase assay between gynogenetic silver crucian carp and amphimictic colored crucian carp. MPF activity was measured by using histone H1 as phosphorylation substrate. There were two similar oscillatory MPF kinase activity changes during oocyte maturation in two kinds of fishes with different reproductive modes, but there existed some subtle difference between them. The subtle difference was that the first peak of MPF kinase activity was kept to a longer-lasting time in the gynogenetic silver crucian carp than in the amphimictic colored crucian carp. It was suggested that the difference may be related to the spindle behavior changes, such as tripolar spindle formation and spindle rearrangement in the gynogenetic crucian carp.
In order to get a stable heat preserved property of temperature control textile, the sandwich structure of thermochromic phase change nanofibers/ woven composite materials was made by electrospinning, weaving and simple suture. In this material, the thermochromic powder acted as a temperature indicator, lauric acid is selected as phase change material. The morphologies and heat preserved property were characterized by SEM, a digital single lens camera and an increase-decreased temperature system test, respectively. The results showed that such composite materials exhibited an obviously heat preserved property; it took 17mins to decrease the temperature from 50 °C to 30 °C, which was 4 mins longer than the weaves.
Transverse compression stress-strain curves of a single fiber having a diameter about 10 μm must be measured to obtain transverse compression mechanical properties of high performance fibers. RJY-1 thermo-mechanical analysis instrument that the smallest division value is 0.1 μm can measure the curves of the fibers by installing some auxiliary device on the instrument. The conclu- sion obtained from the features of the curve is that the Kevlar fiber showed a yielding in transverse compression, while Carbon, Ceramic and Glass fibers did not appear the yielding, and their com- pression curves were almost straight up to the point of brittleness. Transverse compression modulus, yield and breaking stress of Kevlar, Carbon and Glass fiber can be obtained from the curves.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
