EVALUATION OF BIOLOGICAL VALUE OF DRY MATTER AND ORGANIC MATTER COMPLETE FEED BASED ON CORN FORAGE IN DAIRY COWS. This aim of this study was to determine intakes and digestibility of the dry matter and organic matter of complete feed based on corn forage. 14 FH cows weighing 300-400 kg were used in this research. The feed treatments consist of Ra (30% concentrate + 70% corn forage), and Rb (30% concentrate + 35% corn forage + 35% king grass). This experiment arranged in a statistical method of t-test two sample assuming unequal variance. The variables observed were intakes and digestibilities of both dry matter and organic. The results shows that the intakes of both dry matter and organic matter in the Ra were not significantly different from the Rb (P> 0.05). The dry matter digestibility of Rb were highly significant different from Ra (P<0.01), as well as organic matter digestibility of Rb was also significantly different from Ra (P <0.05). It is concluded that complete feed consisting of concentrate, corn forage and king grass was obtained the best digestibilities of both dry matter and organic matter.
DIGESTIBILITY OF CRUDE FIBER AND NNFE (NON NITROGEN FREE EXTRACT) COMPLETE FEED BASED ON CORN FORAGE ON ONGOLE CROSSBREED CATTLE. This Research was conducted to evaluate digestibility of crude fiber and NNFE (non nitrogen free extract) complete feed based on corn forage and king grass on ongole crossbreed cattle. The total of 14 ongole crossbreed cattle at age of 1,5 – 2 years old with the body weight of 180 – 250 kilogram were used in this study. The completely using the analysis t-Test (Two-Sample Assuming Unequal Variences) randomized design involving 2 treatments and 7 replications in each treatment was applied at the experimental unit. The treatments of this research were consisted of Ra = corn forage 50% + concentrate 50% and Rb = corn forage 25% + king grass 25% + concentrate 50%. The results of this research showed that consumption of crude fiber was not significantly (P>0,05) but digestibility of crude fiber was very significantly (P<0.01). Digestibility of NNFE was significantly (P<0.05). Based on the result of this study can be concluded that the complete feed based on corn forage and king grass on ongole crossbreed cattle composition 50% consentrate + 25% corn forage + 25% king grass increase consumption of NNFE, digestibility of Crude fiber and digetibility of NNFE. Key Words: crude fiber, NNFE, corn forage, ongole crossbreed cattle.
COMPARISON OF BIOLOGICAL VALUE OF LOCAL AND IMPORT FEED IN INDONESIAN CHILD RACE HORSE. This research aims to determine the livestock child race horse's ability to digest feed, both local and imported feed. Digestibility of nutrients is a factor that determines the quality of feed ingredients or feed consumed by the livestock horses. This research used Statistics t-test method.Techniques of data retrieval are interviews and direct observations at sites of breeding racehorses. Data collected ie the type of local feed (corn, rice bran, fish meal, soybean, mung beans, coconut cake) and the types of imported feed (sustaina). The amount of feed (forage and concentrates) were given to livestock of child racehorse obtain the amount of feces (g / head / day) is then taken as many as 12 samples each of 8 racehorses using local feed and 4 racehorses use imported feed. The variables measured are digestibility of energy and protein digestibility. The results of the research are digestible energy (local feed ± 85.92 and imported feed ± 87.58) and protein digestibility (local feed ± 75.86 and imported feed 86.89 ±). T test, showed that the energy digestibility of feed imports give effect not significantly different (P> 0.05) compared to local feed while the digestibility of protein feed imports significantly different (P <0.01) in comparison with the local feed. Based on these results it can be concluded that the digestibility of protein for imported feed better than the local feed. Keywords: livestock horses, local feed, imported feed, digestibility
