Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Untuk mengetahui besarnya struktur biaya dan keuntungan yang diperoleh dari usahatani kelapa sawit swadaya murni di Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota Kabupaten Muaro Jambi (2) Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi keuntungan usahatani kelapa sawit swadaya murni di Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam analisis ini adalah analisis Deskriftif Kuantitatif yaitu analisis keuntungan yang terdiri dari analisis penerimaan dan biaya produksi untuk usahatani kelapa sawit (swadaya murni). Untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keuntungan usahatani kelapa sawit (swadaya murni) digunakan metode Analisis Regresi Linier Berganda. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 01 November 2015 sampai dengan 01 Desember 2015. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan (1) rata-rata biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh petani sebesar Rp.33.154.125/tahun dan rata- rata biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh petani per hektarnya sebesar Rp.9.688.247/Ha/tahun. Rata-rata keuntungan usahatani kelapa sawit (swadaya murni) sebesar Rp.51.541.875/tahun dan rata-rata keuntungan usahatani kelapa sawit (swadaya murni) per hektarnya sebesar Rp.15.641.177/Ha/Tahun. (2) faktor biaya pupuk urea, biaya pupuk lain, biaya tenaga kerja, luas lahan dan umur tanaman (dummy) secara bersama- sama berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap keuntungan usahatani kelapa sawit (swadaya murni) di daerah penelitian. Sedangkan secara parsial biaya pupuk urea dan biaya pupuk lain (non urea) berpengaruh negatif terhadap keuntungan usahatani kelapa sawit swadaya murni. Dari hasil penelitian diharapkan Perlu adanya bantuan oleh pemerintah, sehingga petani mampu memperluas usahatani kelapa sawitnya Kata kunci : Keuntungan, Usahatani Kelapa Sawit, dan Faktor Produksi

The process of supplying red chili is not fully controlled by the farmers. The main factor that causes it is that the red chili farmers are small-scale farmers whose production decision-making process is thought not handled by a good forecast of production and prices. This is due to the influence of different perceptions of farmers in deciding which farming strategy to use. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research on the relationship of risk perceptions to risk management strategies for red chili farming in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. The data used are primary data sourced from questionnaires and interviews with 112 red chili farmers in Langkat Regency. The analysis method used is the Pearson Correlation to see the relationship between farm risk management strategies and perception. The results showed that the correlation of the risk perception variable and risk management strategy had a strong, significant and unidirectional effect on the red chili farming.

Red Chili one of the most potential commodities for cultivation. however, red chili farmers do not always experience profits. There are times when farmers often experience enormous losses. This is related to the risks and uncertainty of farming faced by farmers. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the relationship of risk attitudes and risk management strategies in red chili farming in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. The data used are primary data sourced from questionnaires and interviews with 112 red chili farmers in Langkat Regency. The analytical method used is the Pearson Correlation to see relationship of risk attitudes and risk strategies. The results showed that the correlation between the variable risk attitude and risk management strategy was strong, significant and unidirectional or risk attitude had a significant and negative relationship to the intention to implement risk reduction strategies in red chili farming by farmers.
