This work presents a method for calculating harmonic voltages and currents in radial distribution networks. The proposed method is an extension of the backward/forward sweep method for load flow studies in distribution systems and as such preserves its good convergence characteristics besides of not requiring of any network matrix. The method was tested on an eight-node one-phase radial test feeder and results were similar to those that were obtained by the well-known current injection method. Also it was tested on a 2000-node network, showing this way that this is a more suitable method for large three-phase radial distribution networks.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
