Biodegradable polymer blend electrolytes based on Pectin–polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with a constant amount of sodium nitrate (NaNO3) salt are prepared by using a solution casting technique. The complexation between polymers and salt is confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and the AC impedance technique is implied to analyze the ionic conductivity of the prepared samples. When synthetic polymer PVA is added with pectin, the ionic conductivity increases. Pectin: PVA:NaNO3[00.100.04] blend polymer electrolyte shows the higher ionic conductivity of 4.3×10−6 (S/cm) at room temperature. Further, the dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the polymer electrolytes are also analyzed.
