The s (L = 0) and d (L = 2) bosons of the interacting boson model of nuclear structure are mapped, as correlated pairs of nucleons, onto a single-particle basis and the relationship between nucleon and boson nuclear transition densities is established. Application is made to the analysis of (e, e') data for the excitation of the 2 7 state in "Ne, to the analysis of data for the inelastic scattering of 24.5 MeV protons exciting the 2: and 4; states of 20Ne, and to the analysis of data for the inelastic scattering of 24 MeV neutrons exciting the 2; state in 'I6Sn.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
