Currently, it is becoming urgent to create composites from various materials using their strengths to obtain the desired properties. The method of modification of the surface layer of a structural element using ion alloying is one the most promising. This method is used for obtaining corrosion-resistant composites. In this article we can find the results of an experimental-theoretical study of the mechanical properties of thin-walled structural elements whose surface is alloyed with carbon ions. It is used to reduce the corrosive deterioration.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
