By the use of chemically induced dynamic electron polarisation acylphosphine oxides have been shown to undergo the Type I fission reaction from their triplet states.
Abstract-The limitations and advantages of particular dyes for labelling proteins and other biological materials are discussed. Methods available for conjugating dyes to proteins are outlined. Following a discussion of double labelling methods the use of photoactivatable Ruorochromes and time resolved fluorescence methodologies are outlined. The reasons for the photoinstability of some fluorochromes are discussed and methods for overcoming the problem are described.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
