ABSTRAKT: Postępujący przestrzenny rozwój struktur miejskich, wyrażany poprzez wzrost gęstości zaludnienia, rosnącą liczbę zakładów produkcyjnych, zmianę stylu życia, a także dominację komunikacji indywidualnej, generuje niepożądane zmiany w przestrzeni miejskiej. Tendencje te negatywnie wpływają na funkcjonowanie transportu, a co za tym idzie-na jakość życia mieszkańców miast. Minimalizacja tych uciążliwości wymaga stosowania zasad zarządzania logistycznego, bowiem skupienie znacznej liczby podmiotów gospodarczych i osób na relatywnie niewielkim terytorium rodzi istotne problemy w zarządzaniu.
Nowadays, cities are approached as complex systems comprising multiple interactions and interrelations. At present, urbanisation is one of the principal socio-economic global processes. Population concentration and myriad different relations between entities lead to highly complicated lives within the urban space. Therefore, the characteristics features of modern cities refer not only to their physical structures, but also to the network of cyber-relations optimising processes occurring within agglomerations. The aims of public governance in urban space relating to the development of intelligent, sharp solutions regarding life quality improvement are undeniably associated with the application of modern technologies. However, one must also take into consideration the role and impact of various stakeholders affecting the process of smart city development. According to the results, stakeholders' involvement is crucial for good management. It is believed that the greatest role in the implementation of intelligent solutions is played by local self-governments. Their leading function is highlighted at the following stages: project conceptualization, implementation and management. Political entities of a more extensive coverage as well as local communities, economic entities and research institutions also play essential role at the stage of concept development. This study focuses on the importance of individual interest groups in the process of shaping intelligent solutions in the urban space. The study is divided into the following sections: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Research Results, and Conclusions.
The concentration of population in urban centres and the progressing economic development are the one of the fundamental causes of problems of functioning of contemporary cities. One of these issues is the urban transport causing environmental losses and a lower quality of life. The concept that limits the adverse phenomena may be the smart city, and intelligent solutions in the way of moving the urban community. The purpose of this article is to show how urban transport can influence the shaping of intelligent solutions in cities with the help of various factors and components.
Poland’s location in the central part of Europe means international communications routes connecting north and south of the continent and east and west. Many Polish roads are transit routes that pass through environmentally valuable areas, run through forests and swamps, and cross migration routes of animals. A physical impact of transport on the environment is multipronged; it concerns, in particular, the quality of air, water, and soil, as well as disturbance of biodiversity, landscape planning, acoustic climate, the danger of vibrations and road security. Moreover, environmental resources are necessary for the efficient functioning of the transport system to generate energy, but on the other hand, to build infrastructure facilities. Apart from sustainable development, ecological security is one of the approaches to understand and solve environmental problems. Simultaneously, compared to issues connected with economics, politics, social and military problems, attempts to securitize ecology and the environment have a relatively short story. The article aims to identify threats for ecological security and solutions connected with road transport functioning in Poland.
