Abstract. This paper proposes the use of multimedia capture in ubiquitous learning environments for automatically authoring learning objects. Using an instrumented classroom, the content of learning objects is obtained from multiple capture devices, with individual media flows being integrated and synchronized without human intervention. Associated metadata is generated using a semiautomated approach based on matching their fields to students' learning styles. The approach is being integrated to a real multimedia capture system and preliminary results from its experimentation suggest gains in student performance.
