Pariwisata Indonesia yang mempunyai banyak destinasi tujuan wisata membuat wisatawan mancanegara mempunyai motivasi untuk mengunjunginya dan akan mengahasilkan persepsi terhadap destinasi yang telah mereka kunjungi. Salah satu kota yang menjadi destinasi wisatawan mancanegara untuk berwisata di Indonesia adalah Kota Bukittinggi dengan ragam objek wisata yang terdapat didalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa yang menjadi motivasi wisatawan mancanegara berkunjung ke Kota Bukittinggi dan persepsi mereka setelah mengunjungi beberapa objek wisata yang terdapat di Kota Bukittinggi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya dan melengkapi berbagai kajian ilmiah di bidang pariwisata yang sudah ada. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Pemilihan informan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara terhadap informan yang merupakan wisatawan mancanegara yang sedang berwisata di Kota Bukittinggi. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan pada tulisan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi wisatawan mancangera yang berkunjung ke Kota Bukittinggi ada (empat) hal yaitu, relaksasi, bermain, belajar dan bertemu teman/ keluarga. Persepsi wisatawan mancanegara yang berkunjung ke Kota Bukittinggi lebih terfokus kepada (lima) hal yaitu aksesibilitas, objek wisata, Interaksi sosial, kebersihan dan harga.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the development of the tourism industry to a very low point. With social restrictions, people are expected not to travel in advance and can keep their distance. This research aims to further deepen public understanding regarding virtual tourism and its use in the city of Padang during the lockdown at various tourist objects. This research found that the government introduced virtual tourism as an alternative amid distance restrictions, because tourist can enjoy the tourism object without having to be physically present. The availability of many media that can be used as tools in displaying virtual tourism. This research provides suggestions so that the relevant government can provide socialization to the community so that virtual tourism can be used as an alternative to traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minangkabau Tribe in West Sumatra hasone cultural problem, namely the traditional art of Ambek-Ambek Dance. This study aims to find out whether the art of Ambek-Ambek Nagari Koto Gadang - Koto Anau Dance can be used as a cultural tourism attraction in Solok Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using the theory of tourist attraction. Data collection is carried out by observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of this study show that Ambek-Ambek Dance meets the criteria of good tourist attraction; 1) uniqueness, ambek-ambek dance has a distinctive uniqueness and is different from other dances, namely in terms of dance history, naming, movement philosophy, herding music, costumes, and special rules in the presentation of dance. 2) originality, pure ambek-ambek dance comes from the traditional traditions and daily life of young mudi Koto Anau in ancient times in finding a partner. 3) Authenticity, Ambek-Ambek dance has a distinctive beauty naturally, exotic, and unpretentious. 4) diversity, ambek-ambek dance has a diversity of Minangkabau customs and culture which can be seen in terms of variations in movement shapes, floor patterns, herding music, and dance costumes.
