In this study, a video-based teaching program was used to assess the knowledge of young mothers in identifying developmental milestones. The purpose of this study was (1) to assess the effectiveness of video-based program, (2) to assess the knowledge of young mothers in identifying developmental milestones. Methods. Self-structured tool on knowledge regarding developmental milestones was used in this study. Each mother participated in the questionnaire. In the final position, the questionnaire score was obtained and the results was evaluated using inferential and descriptive statistics. Results. A mean value of 4.94 pre-test and a mean value of 11.17 post-test were obtained for all the subjects. There was a strong correlation between the pre-test and post-test measurements (df=. 6.23). There was a difference between the pre/posttest St. Deviation of 2.37 and 1.45, with t value of 22.70. The results from the analysis shows that after the administration of the VBTP which was conducted online, there was a significant increase in the knowledge regarding DM among young mothers.
Monkeypox virus (MPXV) is one of Orthopoxvirus subfamily, it’s refers to a zoonotic disease caused by MPXV. Human monkeypox, on the other hand, has a much lower morbidity and fatality rate than smallpox. Reference to the current resurgence, monkeypox outbreaks have been reported over the past 5 decades, 10 countries in Africa was initially discovered to be affected by the outbreak and subsequently 4 countries apart from Africa. Additionally, re-emergence of monkeypox in African countries, especially Nigeria about forty 40 years of the initial outbreak, midst 2010-2019. Climate change, deforestation, lack of proper health and research advance infrastructure among the society and uncontrol intake of bush meat in the African countries could have been the reason for the recent re-emergence of monkeypox within the communities. Public health significance of monkeypox outbreak could be the factors related to the vulnerability of the population towards MPXV when smallpox vaccination was stopped. Due to the rapid global outreach of monkeypox endemic, it should be therefore considered as a very serious re-surging pathogen in the world. However, detail and proper observational research could bring more light on the influence of MPXV on overall human population, together with the advancement in qualitative and quantitative of outbreak data collection, research in the current situation is crucial and need an emergency treat in order to encourage the researchers to improve more findings on the monkeypox outbreak, which will subsequently enhances appropriate case management and public health response.
Children should not suffer from the lack of adequate knowledge or ignorance from their parents. Breastfeeding colostrum is extremely useful for the immunity and growth of the newborn, as it is having been documented to improve neonatal survival, and protective against the infection specific mortality among newborn and mothers. The secondary data presented in this paper was abstracted from well-known search engines performed in March 2022. Search engines like Pubmed and Google scholar. In Pubmed 8 articles were returned and Google scholar 11 articles/ key words related to breastfeeding and colostrum and first hour of birth in India. Includes 19 studies altogether, all papers were done within 2019 to 2022 and published in English. Study result showed several preventive diseases among the children and their mother. Spreading awareness about natural breastfeeding and the importance of colostrum among mothers is the key to successfully contribute towards reduction of child mortality. May be carried forward for public health intervention of further research to better informed information, education and counselling for pregnant women for sustainable future of our children according to the United Nations sustainable goals, no one should be left behind.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
