Abstract: This work is an excerpt of the experiences of a black and rural woman, coming from a multigrade school, literate by a lay teacher. The purpose of this work is to bring some reports experienced by this one who speaks to you through writing, taking into account her life references, contact with nature from an early age and her insertion in the world of reading. Therefore, reading and writing are part of this process. In addition, reminiscences were the way to outline the composition of this text. So, I bring here my personal impressions mixing with theory and always trying to reflect on the importance of documenting our experiences that often serve as inspiration. In turn, demonstrate how essential reading is in the formation of the individual as a whole, be it reading the word or the world. Keywords: Personal motivation, Personal references, Reading and Mischief.
