This paper focus on the experimental measurements of 60 WZ electric and magnetic fields in power electrical systems, including power transmission lines and substations. The electric and magnetic fields measurements were carried out following international recommendations and standards. Additionally, using a theoretical program the case of maximum load condition was estimated. All the measured values are compared with recommended values, which are found to be lower than the limits. Measurements carried out in other systems (Colombia, Cuba and Costa Rica) shown similar results.
The way in which a Hall effect transducer is made appropriate for measuring magnetic fields is described. The aim of this is to provide a thermally well compensated probe that gives precise orientation and positioning for taking measurements. This probe is used in the checking of far fields generated by magnetic dipoles.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
