With exponential rise in the internet applications and wireless communications, higher and efficient data transfer rates are required. Hence proper and effective spectrum is the need of the hour, As spectrum demand increases there are limited number of bands available to send and receive the data. Optimizing the use of these bands efficiently is one of the tedious tasks. Various techniques are used to send the data at same time, but for that we have to know which bands are free before sending the data. For this purpose various spectrum sensing approaches came with variety of solutions. In this paper the sensing problem is tackled with the use of hybrid spectrum sensing method, This new networking paradox uses the Centralized concept of spectrum sensing and creates one of the most trusted spectrums sensing mechanism. This proposed technique is simulated using MATLAB software. This paper also provides comparative study of various spectrum sensing methodologies

Software Defined Radio (SDR) is one of possibilities to realize the structure of device with a high mobility, flexibility and reconfigurability. This technology can provide the seamless shifting between existed air-interface standards. Extending the flexibility further, a system capable to sense the spectrum space available for communication and adapt to it is Cognitive Radio. Obviously SDR in Cognitive Radio should be configured not only to independent standards, protocols and services but also to the extensively dynamic nature of bandwidth allocation. Moreover this need of dynamic allocation of Spectrum space is a must to cater to its increased demand. Cognitive radio is envisioned as the ultimate system that can sense, adapt and learn from the environment in which it operates. Sensing the available bandwidth an SDR (Software defined radio) in a Cognitive System, tunes the circuits in the System for transferring data at optimum data rates, permissible by the space available. So it is a must for the SDR to accordingly add processing circuits to maintain the System performance at variable working frequencies. This paper discusses the critical issue of designing the SDR for the Cognitive radio and also presents some useful results obtained to configure the SDR for higher bandwidth available in Cognitive Radio. Results of Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) implementation, Codec Algorithm modifications, and decoder iterations variation and performance improvement using OQPSK are depicted in the paper.
Steganography is used to hide the messages inside other harmless messages in a way that does not allow any enemy to even sense that there is a second secret message present while the purpose of computer forensics is that it provides security from covert communication dealing with digital data and covert communication channel. In this paper we used video as cover media for hiding the secret message and used computer forensics as tool for authentication. Our aim is to hide an image and text behind a video file. Suitable algorithm such as 1LSB, 2LSB, 4LSB is used and 4LSB method found to be good for hiding more secret information data. This paper deals with the idea of video steganography, cryptography and the use of computer forensic techniques in both investigative and security manner.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
