Dyes derived from natural resources like plant leaves, roots, bark, fruits, stem, insect secretions, and minerals were the only dyes available in the history of mankind for dyeing textiles. The first discovery of the synthetic dyes dates back to 1856.Due to the industrialization and globalization, the use of the synthetic dyes has increased in past century. The variety in hue, shades and economic benefits of synthetic dyes have declined gradually and slowly. However, the environmental threats and health hazards to humans have pushed them to the old and natural dyeing resources. Textiles colored with natural dyes are preferred by eco-friendly buyers. Today there is a niche market for such textiles. This paper reviews the available floral, trees, leave, barks, herbs, etc resources, application and extraction of colorants from different natural dyes, and effect of different mordents.

The study was accomplished through correlational research design. The purpose was comprised of investigating the impact of psychological burden on patients’ level of their marital life. The convenient sampling technique was utilized to approach 139 patients with diabetes mellitus as a sample. The data was collected through questionnaires as a source of measurement. The permission was taken to keep information confidential. The collected data was entered into SPPS for analysing. Inferential statistics were used to test hypothesis with the help of the following tests; linear regression and t-test for independent sample designs. The results of the study reflect that the psychological burden of diabetic patients influences their degree of marital satisfaction significantly. In addition, the difference of psychological burden (stress, depression and anxiety) and marital satisfaction was found significant with respect to demographic characteristics of the participants; gender, type of disease, education and working status. Female patients are reported with a greater level of psychological burden but they were observed with a poor degree of marital satisfaction as compared to males. Psychological burden and satisfaction associated with marital life due to diabetes was discussed as significant between working and non-working, type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, and educated and uneducated patients. In the future, there is a need to investigate the coping styles as mediator between psychological disturbance and marital satisfaction.

This study was conducted to ascertain the health status of people living in urban and suburban areas of Lahore. It determined the level of variance and correlation between the health status of people living in the aforementioned areas with its environment. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted to gather the results. Data was collected with the help of a questionnaire based on a five-point scale. One way ANOVA was conducted to test the hypothesis and the results revealed that people living in suburban areas are healthier (p< .005) in comparison to people living in urban areas. The Pearson correlation results (.272) revealed that a positive direct correlation exists between the health of residents and the environment in which they live.

Yarn construction is an important attribute in fabric construction and end use performance of fabric. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of different blend ratio of natural fibers, on yarn properties. Four different fibers such as Bamboo regenerated fiber, cotton, flax, and hemp were used at different blend ratios to manufacture ring spun 16/1 yarns with TM of 4.0. Blend ratios of bamboo regenerated fiber was kept 100%, 90 %, 80 % and 70 % while blend ratios of cotton, flax and hemp were adjusted at 10 %, 20 % and 30 %. Thus, total of ten yarn samples were prepared for this study. Different properties of these yarns such as linear density, lea strength, clsp, tensile properties, unevenness, imperfections, and hairiness, were determined as per standard test methods.Analysis of the collected data shows a significant effect of blend change on all yarn properties. It may be concluded that blends of bamboo regenerated fibers with cotton displayed best results as compared to blends with flax and hemp. Another trend may also be revealed that yarn quality improved as ratio of cotton changed from 10 % to 30 % while degraded as ratio of flax and hemp is changed from 10 % to 30%.

Families have vital role in the medical care of Alzheimer's which is most common among the old age people. It I is kind of dementia that fosters problems in the thinking, memory and the incapability to activate modest implementations, or orient clothing to the human body. In such cases family members have vital role for the care of patients. Dressing of Alzheimer`s patient is main tension for care contributors therefore this research discourse the dressing difficulties to Alzheimer`s patient encountered by care givers. A qualitative research method found to explore care givers perception about dressing issues that arise when their family member loss the capacity to dress independently. In-depth-interview was used as a data collection instrument from the care givers of the patients. Doctors were also interviewed to acquire the understanding about Alzheimer disease. In order to improve the quality of care givers survives and sustain their ability to sustenance and care for the enduring adaptive dress is very valuable as it provides ease to them while dressing. Therefore after examination of interviews researcher identified dressing difficulties and believers clothing adaptations that provide accessibility to care giver.
