2 The first book on writing clinical reports [1] was published as this manuscript was being prepared. 8 The project reported here was a cooperative one in which all staff members of the VA Mental Hygiene Clinic, Chicago, Illinois, participated. The authors wish to acknowledge this participation and to thank especially Drs. D. G. Wright, John G. Watkins, and Miss Clara Weimer for their aid in completing the project.
Reports on a study of University of Michigan recent PhDs and graduate students in clinical psychology, who were asked to evaluate medical and nonmedical practicum facilities in meeting their training and practicum needs. It is concluded that clinical psychology students favor a combination of experiences in both medical and nonmedical settings, that such settings tend to complement each other, and that each setting apparently has its own distinctive value as a training site in clinical psychology.
