Introduction: Knee joint is modified complex synovial joint perform wide range of three dimension movement. Arthritis of knee joint joint needs intervention as total knee arthroplasty and unicompartment knee arthroplasty commonly. This study provide useful data for those surgeries. In present study collected data on the morphometry of both tibiofemoral articulation play a unique role in conduction of body weight. Morphometry of tibial plateau is used to guide treatment and monitor outcome of total knee replacement. Measurements of tibia plateau are of immense help in designing tibial prosthesis. Aim: My study was aimed at analyzing Three different parameters of tibia were measured and their mean values were determined. Materials and Methods: In the present study,a total thirty, adult fully ossified dry tibia, unknown sex and without any deformity were collected from Department of Anatomy of Kanti Devi Medical College ,Mathura for evaluation .Took various parameter of superior end by using a Vernier caliper and rular. Result & Conclusion: The TTT area is greater in the right tibia when compared with the left tibia. The mean area of MTC of the right tibia is greater than the area of MTC of the left tibia, whereas the mean area of LTC of the right tibia is smaller than the area of LTC of the left tibia. This study will be useful for anatomist, forensic anthropologist and orthopedics in cases total knee arthroplasty, unicompartment knee arthroplasty and meniscal transplantation.
INTRODUCTION: knowledge of the morphological pattern of ssure and lobes of lungs can contribute to decreases morbidity and mortality associated with cardiopulmonary surgeries. Anatomical variation of ssure in human lungs noticed as absent, incomplete or complete during routine dissection. My study was aimed at analyzing into the morphological mul AIM: tipattern of ssure and lobes of lungs. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The present study based on macroscopic examination of 60 (30 right and 30 left) embalmed human cadaveric lungs. After thoroughly observation of each lung specimens were noted pattern of lobes, ssure variation and studied in detail. All lungs specimen was photographed for record. In the present study following observation was made: Right sided lungs had, Incompl RESULT & CONCLUSION: ete Horizontal ssures in 11 lungs, absent horizontal ssures in 01 lung and incomplete oblique ssure in 08. Left sided lungs had, Incomplete oblique ssures in 09 lungs, knowledge of variation in the morphological pattern of ssure and lobes of lungs useful tool for medical clinicians, radiologist and cardiopulmonary surgeon for interpretation of correct location of bronchopulmonary segments.
BACKGROUND With respect to its size, shape, weight, notches & fissures, spleen is a highly variable organ. It is otherwise very difficult to analyse whether the spleen is normal or abnormal on the basis of its shape; therefore this study has been undertaken to find out percentage of various shapes and other morphometrical parameters of spleen. Accurate knowledge of splenic morphology is essential prior to performing any surgical procedure or making any radiological interpretation with regard to spleen as it reveals many variations in shape, size, notches & fissures. MATERIALS AND METHODS The present study is a descriptive study conducted in the Department of Anatomy, K. D. Medical College, Mathura, U.P. 60 adult human cadaveric spleens were included. Sexual dimorphism was excluded from the research. The spleens were dissected from the abdominal cavity and a morphometric analysis was done with the help of digital sliding calipers. Data obtained was compared with data available from previous studies after its tabulation and statistical analysis. RESULTS 60 human spleens were morphologically analysed in detail. Wedge-shaped spleens were most commonly noted. Mean length was calculated to be about 10.5 cm. Mean breadth was calculated to be about 7.5 cm. Mean width was calculated to be about 4.25 cm. CONCLUSION Studies on the morphometry of spleen will be of interest not only from academic point of view but also for operating surgeons and interventional radiologists. Detailed knowledge on spleen is important to avoid and prevent any complications and to obtain a good operative, as well as diagnostic intervention.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
