Pyridazine derivatives Pyridazine derivatives R 0500Pharmacological Evaluation of Some New 1-Substituted-4-hydroxyphthalazines.-17 new phthalazines of type (VI) and 9 of type (IX) are prepared and tested against seizures induced by maximal electroshock (MES) and pentylenetetrazole. The decrease in the elevated motor activity by introceptive chemical stimuli and cardiac activity are also studied. Compounds such as (VId)-(VIf) are most active against MES-induced seizures. Compounds such as (VIa), (VIe), and (VIf) exhibit significant decrease in the elevated motor activity at the dose of 50 mg kg -1 .
