BACKGROUND: Family plays a role in managing risk factors for diabetes mellitus (DM) in family members. The family can use diet and activity management as a form of prevention of risk factors and care for family members diagnosed with type 2 DM to keep it from getting to the level of severity. AIM: The study aims to analyze Social Support Management of Diabetes (SoSMeD) for glucose control of type 2 DM patients. METHODS: The study used a quasi-experiment pre-post-test with a control group design. The SoSMeD intervention was conducted for 3 months. The samples were taken by a random sampling technique of 50 respondents in each group. The measurement tool checks for glucose during the GDA-test 3 times, analyzed using a paired t-test. RESULTS: The results show significant differences between the intervention and control groups after being given SoSMeD in carrying out glucose control for patients with type 2 DM (p = 0.001). CONCLUSION: SoSMeD interventions provide type 2 DM sufferers with glucose control. Based on the findings, it is recommended that nurses should provide proper nursing interventions by involving families in diabetes management.
Gastritis is one of the most common problems of the digestive tract and increases annually. Gastritis is a pain that is not caused by disorders of the stomach organs but more often triggered by psychological stress factors. Stomach acid production will increase in stressful situations, eg in heavy workloads, panic and haste. Increased stomach acid levels can irritate the gastric mucosa. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of stress with recurrence of gastritis in the area of ​​public health service jatirejo mojokerto . Design of an analytic survey study used a cohort design. Population was of all gastritis patients in puskesmas jatirejo mojokerto regency and get a sample of 35 people, taken with purposive sampling technique. Independent variable of stress level and dependent variable of recurrence of gastritis. The instrument used to measure stress is a questionnaire while the instrument used to measure the recurrence of gastritis is using an observation sheet. The research was conducted on 28 March-29 April. Data analysis used cross tabulation (crosstab). The results showed that most respondents had moderate stress level as many as 16 respondents and experienced recurrence as many as 13 respondents (81.2%) .This is caused by people who are vulnerable to stress, because the more vulnerable a person exposed to stress the higher the risk of gastritis
Background: The peripheral neuropathy is the cause of hospitalization for patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) and damages kidney function due to the circulatory system with high sugar levels. High sugar levels in DM patients with diabetic wounds can trigger glomerular damage resulting in the decrease of kidney function.Purpose: This study aims to analyze the relationship between the degree of diabetic wounds and kidney functions in patients with DM.Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 723 DM patients who experienced diabetic wounds in a hospital in Mojokerto, East Java, Indonesia. A purposive sampling technique was used to recruit the samples. The data of this study were medical records of diabetic patients. A simple linear regression test was employed to analyze the data.Results: The result showed that the degree of diabetic wound was significantly related to kidney function damage (p=0.000). The relationship between the degree of diabetic wounds and the decline in kidney function was shown by an R-squared value of 0.768, meaning that the degree of diabetic wound affected the decline of kidney function by 76.8%, while the 23.2% was affected by other factors.Conclusion:The degree of diabetic injury affects the decline of kidney function in DM patients by 76.8%. Nurses should do health promotion about controlling blood sugar levels in DM patients with the prevention of four pillars of diabetes, including education, nutrition, physical activity, and stress.
The development of an agency is the duty of a leader to make it happen. In this case the leader needs qualified subordinates or employees to realize this vision. Leaders must be able to influence their employees to be responsible for completing their work. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between leadership style and employee performance in Sidoarjo Dr Soekandar Hospital Mojosari Hospital. The design in this study was cross-sectional. This study's population were all employees of the Mojosaris hospital as many as 90 employees; the sampling technique was total sampling. The sample in this study is Mojosari hospital employees totaling 90 employees. The crosstabs test results using SPSS 25.0 showed that more dominant in using the strategic leadership style. Results can be seen that respondents with sufficient performance. The leadership style in the Moderate category was more than the leadership style in the high categories. 16 (57%) of respondents. Meanwhile, respondents with good performance. The high category's leadership style was far more than the leadership style in the medium category 47 (75%) of respondents. So it can be concluded that the better the leadership applied by the head of the hospital. The better the quality and quantity of employee performance at the hospital. In advancing the institution, cooperation between leaders and employees is needed. Leaders must be able to understand the character of employees and the conditions they face in order to create an effective leadership style. The implementation of an effective leadership style can improve the quality and quantity of employee performance.
The hospital is a health service organization that provides comprehensive health services that achieve promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects for the community. The application of the Professional Nursing Practice Method (MPKP) can illustrate the efforts of various countries to improve the quality of nursing care and the working environment of nurses in hospitals. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of MPKP in hospitals. This research design uses a literature review, which is a series of studies relating to the method of collecting library data, or research whose research objects are explored through various library information (books, encyclopedias, scientific journals, newspapers, magazines, and documents) from several journals that have been researched by previous researchers who have been screened with inclusion and exclusion criteria using several databases namely google shoolar, lib UI, and SINTA which will be used as a literature review in this study. There are 155 journals according to keywords which are screened into 10 journals according to the theme and analyzed which examines the application of the Professional Nursing Practice Method (MPKP). The results showed that the implementation of MPKP was in the good category and was more dominant, namely 40% in the nursing care system. In the application of the maximum Professional Nursing Practice Method (MPKP) and good categories, nurses must make professional values, professional relationships, management approaches, nursing care systems, and reward compensation systems according to nursing standards by looking at performance and determining the appropriate MPKP model.
