Plexiform neurofibromas are benign tumors arising from visceral or subcutaneous peripheral nerves, which are usually associated with neurofibromatosis type 1. Giant neurofibromas are a surgical challenge because of their vascularity and extensive infiltration and require preoperative and postoperative management strategies.
