This little book-a pamphlet reallyis the third volume to be published by GAP on the subject of university student mental health. As its name states it is devoted to the subject of research in this field. As well as indicating, with appropriate references, representative pieces of work already done, it makes a number of valuable suggestions as to possible extensions of such work, and indicates new areas for exploration. Thus it is useful, not only for its bibliography, but as a source of ideas, and comprises a useful survey of the area in question. Furthermore it should be emphasized that this book is prepared with psychiatrists in mind and is written in dynamic psychiatric terminology, rather than in the static and unfamiliar terminology of the educationalist or educational psychologist. It is to be hoped that, especially in Canada where formal work in student mental 'health has been slow in developing, this book will enjoy the circulation it deserves as a stimulus and a guide.
