This study shows favorable vascular compatibility and efficacy for a novel bioabsorbable salicylate-based polymer as a DES coating, and supports further research and development of this unique class of polymer materials for applications in cardiovascular devices.
This study shows favourable vascular compatibility and efficacy for a novel fully bioabsorbable salicylate-based SES. This device has good mechanical performance during deployment and stays well-apposed to the vessel wall at long-term follow-up. These initial results are highly encouraging and support progress into more extensive preclinical studies as well as early clinical testing.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
