<p><em>The development of new and renewable energy is currently a top priority for the international community, as energy needs continue to increase while fossil fuels are running low. The Savonius rotor turbine is one of the most widely used turbines but has low efficiency. This study aims to improve the performance of the Savonius turbine by developing a new blade based on airfoil which is simulated in CFD. There are 2 blade models to be simulated, namely the RD-1 model and the RD-2 model, then the simulation results are compared with the conventional blade. The results of the study can be said that the new airfoil-based blade can improve the performance of the Savonius turbine, the increase occurs in the TSR value which is better than the conventional blade. The highest Cp is 0.148 on the RD-2 model blade with a maximum TSR of 0.8</em></p>
This research aims to determine students perceptions about the process of learning in SMAN1 Teluk Keramat of Sambas Regency. The research method used descriptive method. Theresearch object was students of eleventh grade with 42 students. Data collection techniquesin this research used direct communication technique, indirect communication technique,and documentary study technique. Data collection tools used questionnaires, interviews, anddocumentations. The results of this research shows the teacher has carried out the historylearning process well. The student statements through a questionnaire that the learningobjectives carried out by the teacher are good, the learning material carried out by theteacher is good, the methods used by the teacher are good enough, the media used by theteacher is good, and the evaluation of learning carried out by the teacher has been good.This shows the history learning process at SMAN 1 Teluk Keramat of Sambas Regency isquite good.Keywords: Process of History Learning
Water turbine is one of the mechanical equipment that functions to generateenergy into mechanical energy. There are types of water turbines one of which isthe Savonius water turbine. Savonius water turbines have the advantage of otherturbines, namely installation in rivers that do not damage the environment, areable to work and do not require special maintenance as well as providingweaknesses that can affect the positive force and the negative force on the rotor isstill small. This turbine has never been widespread. To make this turbine it ispossible to conduct research to improve its performance, especially in the turbinerotor. In these words we will try the rattan turbine by varying the blade's turningangle from 00, 30o, 60o, 90o and 120o and adding ½ and ¼ opening flow guides.Based on the results of the research that we have done, we can say the differencein blade angle and flow guide to turbine performance. The variation of twist angleand flow controller that provides the most appropriate turbine performance is a90o swivel with turbine flow guide openings ¼. At the swivel angle 120o the waveguide is not as wide.

The savonius water turbine has a main component, which is blade, the concave portion has a positive work and the convex blade has a negative work. Concave profiles in advancing blade as flow catchers and convex profiles on the returning blade as reflecting flow so that there is a difference in torque. The greater the torque difference the better the turbine performance. The way to enlarge this torque difference is by enlarging the drag force. This study aims to increase the difference in torque by adding a protective circle behind the blade advancing blade. This research uses Solidwork software to design turbines and Ansys CFX 19.2 software to analyze torque. Based on the analysis results, the addition of a protective circle can increase the difference in torque. The largest torque value is owned by the turbine with the addition of a protective circle 10 mm from the blade of 46,524 Nm, the largest power value is owned by the turbine with the addition of a protective circle 10 mm by 182 Watts and the greatest efficiency value is owned by the turbine with the addition of a protective circle 10 mm 50% turbine. The addition of a protective circle 10 mm away from the blade is the most optimal turbine geometry for use in water flow power plants, especially in slow-flow rivers.
