Purpose: The economy in the MSME sector is experiencing a great crisis in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. MSME actors must change strategies to adapt to the current pandemic conditions. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Covid 19 on the economy and performance of MSMEs as well as the strategies adopted by MSME players in Bangka Belitung Province. Research methodology: The data collection method employed probability sampling with google form media analyzed by using cross tabulation, trend analysis and simple mathematical modeling in projecting total economic losses to MSMEs that are active in the Bangka Belitung Island Province. Results: The results show that 84.7 percent of MSMEs experienced a negative impact due to the Covid 19 pandemic in the form of a decrease in sales turnover, reduced demand and hampered distribution of raw materials. However, 15.3 percent of MSMEs experienced a positive impact and survived in the Covid 19 pandemic conditions. Some of the strategies implemented by MSMEs to survive in the Covid 19 periods were replacing products sold with products for handling COVID 19 such as masks, hand sanitizers and others. MSME players also changed their sales strategy by selling online and maintaining customer databases. Limitation: Due to the Covid-19 condition, survey activities were carried out by using the Google Form online application. Contribution: MSMEs undertook a more aggressive marketing strategy to maintain turnover value in order to keep growing. Keywords: Covid-19, MSME, Turnover, Competitive strategy
This research aimed to determine the effect of motivation, creativity, and innovation on the performance of food and beverage processing industry players in the city of Pangkalpinang. This type of research was quantitative. The population in this study was the food and beverage processing industry players in the city of Pangkalpinang. The sampling technique was carried out by means of Simple Random Sampling and obtained a sample of 133. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, documentation, and literature studies. The data analysis technique used was a multiple linear analysis technique and used a partial hypothesis test (t) and simultaneously (f) and uses the coefficient of determination. The results of this study are 1) motivation has no effect on the performance of the food and beverage processing industry players in Pangkalpinang 2) creativity has a positive effect on the performance of the food and beverage processing industry players in Pangkalpinang 3) innovation has no effect on the performance of the food and beverage processing industry players in Pangkalpinang 4 ) motivation, creativity, and innovation together have a positive effect on the performance of food and beverage processing industry players.
Purpose: The purpose of this research is to build a model of creative strategy and incremental innovation and to analyze its impact on the success of business and competitiveness of featured small industries in Central Bangka. Methodology: This research is designed by using the descriptive and verification method. The minimum size of sample that should be obtained in this research is 207 units of featured small industries. The verification tool used is the Partial Least Squares (PLS) using LISREL 8.5 program. Results: The calculation result of the influence of creative strategy and incremental innovation on the success of the business indicates that the most influential variable on the success of a business is the variable, creative strategy. The increasing of creative strategy variable gives greater encouragement than the incremental innovation variable towards the success of the business of featured small industries. It can be seen that the most influential variable towards competitiveness is a variable of the success of the business. It means that the more successful the business, the greater competitiveness it will provide. The increasing success of the business provides greater encouragement than incremental innovation and creativity. Implication: The implication of this research is that strategy is very important in maintaining a lasting business and driven by success in business and incremental innovation in small businesses.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of unemployment and investment on economic growth in The Province of Bangka Belitung Islands in 2015-2019. This study uses secondary data types with panel data structure at the Regency / City level in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. In choosing the best method, this research also perform Hausman testing and Breuch Pagan LM testing to select the best alternative method in three models which have been proposed, namely fixed effect, random effect and Pooled OLS. The results showed that unemployment rate is not significantly influence economic growth in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands in period 2015-2019, in contrast investing rate has a significantly positive effect on economic growth in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands in period 2015-2019. So to increase economic growth, it is necessary to enhance investment in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands.
Purpose: To provide digitalization assistance, provide added value and increase sales turnover of the Deshanda Craft Gallery. Method: The method uses participatory, counseling, mentoring and training. Results: The assistance obtained from the implementation are through training, e-commerce applications, digital promotions. So that it has an impact on increasing business motivation, carrying out marketing of products, increasing turnover and making products increasingly known to the public. Conclusions: community service involves small and medium enterprises of Nipah Sticks and Batik Crafts "Galery Deshanda Craft", which has various business of nipah sticks in the form of ornaments and batik. Nipah sticks are an export commodity from the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands. Lack of promotion, traditional product sales and unprofessional management, lack of availability of raw materials has caused the Deshanda Craft Gallery to experience various obstacles in its development, it could even be threatened with closure due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
