Trichobezoar should be considered in the differential diagnosis in pediatric patients who present with complaints of abdominal pain, feeding problems, and vomiting as well as psychiatric problems.Rapunzel syndrome is a rare form of trichobezoar that can extend from the stomach to the small intestine and even to the colon. In this case report, a 9-year-old girl with autism accompanied by trichotillomania and trichophagia and diagnosed with Rapunzel syndrome is presented.
OLGU SUNUMU (LDL), çok düşük yoğunluklu lipoproteinler (VLDL) ve şilomikronlar haline getirilmesinden de sorumludur (3,4). Apo B, lipitlerin karaciğer ve enterositten, kanda trigliserit taşınmasından sorumlu olan lipoprotein komplekslerinin karaciğer ve bağırsaktan salgılanması için gereklidir (5). Serumda apo B içeren lipoprotein yokluğu, jejunal enterositler içinde yağ birikimine, yağ malabsorbsiyonuna ve yağların barsaktan transportunda ciddi yetersizliğe neden olması nedeniyle serum trigliserit ve kolesterol düzeyleri çok düşük saptanır (4,5). GİRİŞ Abetalipoproteinemi çok nadir görülen (< 1/100.000) otozomal resesif kalıtılan bir hastalıktır (1). Kromozom 4q23'de yer alan mikrozomal trigliserit transfer protein (MTTP) mutasyonu bu proteinin fonksiyon kaybı ve hastalığın klinik bulgularından sorumludur (1,2). Endoplazmik retikulum enzim proteini disülfid ile bir heterodimer oluşturan MTTP'nin büyük alt birimini (894 amino asit içeren bir 97-Kda proteini) kodlayan bu gendeki iki mutasyon hastalığa neden olmaktadır (2). With the COVID-19 pandemic, which has become the most significant global problem in recent years, rapid and intense changes have occurred in social life, education, health, economy, financial and administrative order both in Turkey and the World. This situation that threatens human existence has changed the thoughts of today and the future. The number of cases and patients in need of intensive care treatment is decreasing; however, despite the effective methods, it continues. Compared to adults, it has been observed that COVID-19 is rarer and milder for children. Nonetheless, according to today's knowledge, treatment recommendations for children should be planned according to adult studies and the condition of the pediatric patient. In this review study, the situation regarding the pandemic period's possible effects on children is discussed with the literature.
