The spectrum of the thermal emission of NO2 at about 1200°K was found to be similar to that of the N O + 0 3 chemiluminescence. It is concluded that these spectra are transitions from similar low-lying vibrational levels of the same excited electronic state of NO2 to the ground state. The 0 +NO chemiluminescence and NO2 fluorescence excited by Hg 4358 A radiation involve transi-
The kinetics and pressure dependence of the reactions of NO, with CH, and CH,O have been investigated in the gas phase at 298 K, at pressures from 1 to 10 Torr. A low-pressure discharge-flow laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) technique was used. In a consecutive process, CH, reacted with NO, to form CH,O, CH, + NO, + CH,O + NO (l), which further reacted with NO, to form products, CH30 + NO, + products (2). scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
