This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of giving honey as a prebiotic in increasing the growth performance of freshwater pomfret (Colossoma macropomum). In this study, honey was mixed into the feed with the method coated at doses of 0.0%, 0.3%, 0.6%, and 0.9%. Fish with an initial body weight of 3-5 g are reared in three ponds with a total of 12 hapa nets measuring 1x1x1 (m3) (40 fish / hapa nets), that is, 4 hapa nets are placed in each pond. Thus, each treatment replication could be represented in each pond. Fish were fed treated with three replications for 60 days. The best growth performance during 60 days of maintenance indicated that honey supplementation with a dose of 0.6% was significantly different from other treatments in terms of the amount of feed intake 1195±0.01 g, FCR 1.12±0.00, feed efficiency 90.34±0.00 %, the daily growth rate was 3.88±0.02 %, and the body weight gain rate was 778.53±0.01 %. It can be concluded that the administration of honey with a dose of 0.6% is effective in improving the feed conversion ratio, increasing feed efficiency, daily growth rate, body weight gain, and reducing the amount of feed consumption of freshwater pomfret in inundated peat fish ponds.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja pertumbuhan benih ikan patin (Pangasius sp.) yang diberi ekstrak umbi sarang semut dan probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei. Dalam penelitian ini, ekstrak umbi sarang semut dan probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei dicampurkan ke pakan dengan metode coated tanpa penambahan ekstrak umbi sarang semut dan probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei (A), ekstrak umbi sarang semut 1% (B), probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei 1% (C) dan kombinasi ekstrak umbi sarang semut dan probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei masing-masing 1% (D). Ikan dengan bobot tubuh awal 2,00-3,17 g dipelihara di satu kolam (15x10x1,5) m3 dengan total 12 jaring hapa ukuran 1x1x1 (m3) (40 ekor / jaring hapa). Ikan diberi pakan perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan selama 26 hari. Efisiensi pakan, rasio konversi pakan, dan laju pertumbuhan harian terbaik didapatkan pada kelompok benih ikan patin yang mengkonsumsi suplementasi pakan kombinasi ekstrak umbi sarang semut dosis 1% dan probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei dosis 1%, masing-masing sebesar 146,45%, 0,7 dan 7,73%.
Pembesaran ikan gabus sering mengalami tantangan, antara lain efisiensi pakan dan toleransi yang rendah terhadap fluktuasi ekstrem pH dan suhu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja pertumbuhan ikan gabus (Channa striata) yang diberi prebiotik madu dan probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei. Ikan diberi pakan perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan selama 21 hari. Dalam penelitian ini, prebiotik madu dan probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei dicampurkan ke pakan dengan metode coated tanpa penambahan prebiotik madu dan probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei (A), prebiotik madu 1% (B), probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei 1% (C) dan kombinasi prebiotik madu dan probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei masing-masing 1% (D). Ikan dengan bobot tubuh awal 25,0-28,5 g dipelihara di satu kolam (15x10x1,5) m3 dengan total 12 jaring hapa ukuran 1x1x1 (m3) (20 ekor / jaring hapa). Efisiensi pakan, laju pertumbuhan harian, tingkat pertambahan bobot tubuh, tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan bobot biomassa akhir terbaik pada 21 hari pemeliharaan didapatkan pada kelompok ikan gabus yang mengkonsumsi suplementasi pakan kombinasi prebiotik madu dosis 1% dan probiotik Lacticaseibacillus paracasei dosis 1%, masing-masing sebesar 19,27%, 0,48%, 10,4%, 95% dan 581,67 g.
