This article aims to explore the innovation program of class discipline officers to instill the value of discipline character in elementary school students. This article describes in a straightforward and in-depth manner about a program innovation created by the teacher with a student center approach and in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school students. The research design used in this article is qualitative research with a type of case study research involving 6 students, 1 teacher, and 1 principal for in-depth and comprehensive interviews. The results showed that there were three steps in carrying out the disciplinary officer program namely planning, implementing and evaluating. Class discipline officers are innovations in character education programs where students act as officers to maintain discipline and class discipline. This program-centered approach makes students gain real experience so that it is easy for students to understand. Therefore, this class discipline disciplinary program is suitable for application in elementary schools. Contributions in this study are expected to be able to: 1) Provide input in increasing attention in instilling the values of student discipline. 2) Increase awareness for schools to integrate discipline values in formulating school activities policies and programs.
This study was aimed at improving assertive behavior which is one aspect of social skills using Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) method of semester VI students in the Social Studies concentration class of Elementary School Teacher Education UMM. This type of research was classroom action research. Kemmis & McTaggart model was used as the design research. The research subjects included the semester IV students in the Social Studies concentration class at the Elementary School Teacher Education UMMwith a total of 40 students. The object of research was assertive behavior. Data collection techniques that used in this research were questionnaires and observations. Data analysis techniques were carried out in descriptive quantitative approach. The results showed an increase in the average of overall class score. These results indicated that SFAE method positively influences social skills in students especially in assertive behavior. This finding implies that SFAE is an alternative learning method that can be applied to improve student assertive behavior. Konsep ilmu sosial profetik merupakan konsep kenabian yang dimunculkan oleh filsuf Muslim kontemporer, Muhammad Iqbal yang kemudian dikembangkan oleh Kuntowijoyo sebagaimana dalam QS Ali Imran: 110. Adapun unsur-unsur ilmu social profetik, yakni humanisasi, liberasi, dan transendensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji berbagai konsep ilmu sosial profetik menurut Kuntowijoyo. Peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan yang dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) cara pandang pendidikan dalam paradigma humanisasi lebih mengedepankan pada proses memanusiakan manusia. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu menggali dan mengembangkan potensi yang dimiliki tiap peserta didik tanpa pandang bulu. Selanjutnya, (2) dalam paradigma pendidikan liberasi, pendidikan dipandang sebagai proses pembebasan dari kebodohan dan ketidakadilan. Pendidik dituntut kreatif inovatif untuk memotivasi peserta didik agar mampu melawan kebodohan yang disebabkan oleh faktor kemalasan. Sementara itu, (3) pendidikan transendensi lebih bersifat pada hubungan vertikal antara individu dengan Tuhannya.
