RESUMOObjetivo: Identificar e descrever as evidências científicas sobre a tuberculose na infância no Brasil. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. As buscas foram efetuadas na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), com os seguintes descritores cadastrados no Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) e combinados da seguinte forma: "tuberculose" and "infância" após a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão dez artigos foram utilizados. Resultados: Os estudos foram, em geral, publicados nos últimos dez anos (70%) e objetivam desde a descrição de aspectos epidemiológicos sobre a tuberculose na infância até mesmo compreender os significados que envolvem o adoecimento por tuberculose nesse público. Os achados foram categorizados de acordo com o eixo temático e foram pautados em três categorias, a saber: 1) A magnitude da tuberculose nas crianças brasileiras; 2) Principais manifestações clínicas da tuberculose no desenvolvimento infantil; e, 3) Prevenção e diagnóstico de tuberculose em crianças do Brasil. Conclusão: a tuberculose é um problema de saúde pública no Brasil que pode trazer várias consequências as crianças e por isso deve ser combatido pelo sistema de saúde do país em colaboração com profissionais de saúde. Methodology: This is type-integrative review of the literature. The searches were performed in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), with the following descriptors registered in the Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS) and combined as follows: "tuberculosis" AND "childhood", were found and after applying the criteria of Inclusion and exclusion only ten were. Results: The studies were generally published in the last ten years (70%) and aim to describe the epidemiological aspects of tuberculosis in childhood, and to understand the meanings of tuberculosis in children. The findings were categorized according to the thematic axis and was based on three categories, namely: The magnitude of tuberculosis in Brazilian children; Main clinical manifestations of tuberculosis in childhood development and Prevention and diagnosis of tuberculosis in children in Brazil. Conclusion: tuberculosis is a public health problem in Brazil that can bring many consequences to children and therefore must be tackled by the country's health system in collaboration with health professionals.
