In freshwater ecosystems, water temperature plays as an environmental factor that regulates its structure and function. A research on the impacts of changes in temperature to the dynamics of the Phytoplankton community structure has been done. Data from nineteen-year period (1995 to 2013) were collected from Cirata Reservoir as an example of artificial tropical lake in Indonesia. The research aimed to determine the changes of water temperature as the impact of climate warming on the dynamics of phytoplankton community structure. Different measures such as species richness, diversity index, and abundance were measured in order to understand the changes of phytoplankton community structure. Trend analysis, linear regression, and correlation were applied to achieve our objective. The study revealed that changes in water temperature have affected the species richness, but not the diversity index and abundance of the phytoplankton. Bacilariophyceae and Cyanophyceae were found as two predominant phytoplankton classes in the lake with percentage of 48,45 and 41,43 respectively, assuming their capacity to adapt the new environment. This study suggests that climate warming implies changes of the freshwater ecosystems.
Today concern for the environment has become a very important topic, either for consumers, marketers or companies. The issue has an impact on consumer consumption patterns that lead to environmentally friendly products. Organic vegetables are environmentally friendly products that are needed by consumers, but it is still low in sales. Examining the phenomenon of the problem, this study aims to analyze the impact of green brand awareness on organic vegetables, on the retail consumer’s green trust in the city of Bandung. The study was conducted through a survey of 100 consumers who had experience of organic vegetable products in the Bandung City Self-Service Retail. The results show that Green Brand Awareness affects Green Consumer Trust. Green Brand Awareness has a direct impact on increasing consumers’ Green Trust on purchasing products. This shows that when green brand awareness is created properly, it will be able to increase the value of organic products. This research is useful for self-service retailers in considering consumer behavior in organic products from the brand side. As well as being an input for the government in dealing with the issue of environmental damage caused by non-organic materials
The construction of dams and reservoirs often comprises the displacement of not only communities but also the livelihood of the communities itself. This study aims to explore the effects of Saguling Dam construction on the livelihood re-establishment of the displaced people, by paying more attention on the sociographic localities of the new settlement, i.e. the rural and peri-urban areas. A survey was conducted on two groups of resettlers equiped with structured questionnaire. The results indicated that the project has imposed hardship on the displaced people in the process of livelihood re-establishment. Beside changes and lost of occupation, lost of resources, and insufficient cash compensation, sociographic localities of the two groups determined their social capital, which was also vital to their livelihood reconstruction.
AbstrakRuang perkuliahan Jurusan Kesehatan Lingkungan berpotensi mengalami pencemaran udara, yangdisebabkan oleh aktivitas penghuni dan keadaan bangunan it sendiri. Dampak kualitas udara yangrendah khususnya angka kuman dalam ruang terhadap kesehatan dapat terjadi baik secara langsungmaupun tidak langsung. Tujuan penelitian ini adaah menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan ion plasmdalam penurunan angka kuman udara di ruang kelas gedung R2 Jurusan Kesehatan LingkunganPoliteknik Kesehatan Kemenkes Semarang tahun 2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pra eksperimendengan rancangan perbandingan kelompok statis (static group comparison). Pengumpulan datadilakukan dengan cara observasi, pengukuran dan pemeriksaan laboratorium. Variabel bebas ionplasma, variabel terikat angka kuman udara, variabel kontrol konstruksi bangunan, volume ruangan,luas ventilasi. Variabel pengganggu pencahayaan, suhu, kelembaban, jumlah penghuni, AC, aktivitaspenghuni dan perabot. Hasil pemeriksaan angka kuman udara rata-rata kelompok perlakuan adalah189,50 Koloni/Jam/Feet2 sedangkan rata-rata di ruang kontrol 196,66 Koloni/Jam/Feet2. Hasilpengukuran rata-rata ion plasma pada ruang perlakuan adalah 120,76 x104 ion/cm3, sedangkan padaruang kontrol sebesar 147,95 x104 ion/cm3. Hasil pengukuran rata-rata ion plasma generator padaruang perlakuan adalah 53,88 x104 ion/cm3. Simpulan dari hasil penelitian bahwa penggunaan ionplasma tidak ada pengaruh terhadap penurunan angka kuman udara di ruang kelas gedung R2Jurusan Kesehatan Lingkungan Politeknik Kesehatan Kemenkes Semarang. Disarankan sebaiknyapenggunaan generator ion plasma disesuaikan dengan luas ruangan dan kegiatan.
