This research is based on the phenomenon that is happening related to the relationship between teacher role models with disciplinary behavior and the influence of role models on student disciplinary behavior. This research is quantitative with descriptive correlational research. The sample in this study replaced 272 students who were determined through a proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used were the teacher’s exemplary questionnaire and student disciplinary behavior questionnaire. Besides that, the researcher also used a Likert scale model instrument with five alternative answers. Data analysis techniques using simple regression analysis. And the results of the study show the influence of teacher exemplary behavior on student disciplinary behavior at school.
Indonesia, sebagai negara multikultural dengan suku, agama, ajaran dan paham yang beragam berpeluang membuka kesempatan bagi berbagai paham untuk memengaruhinya. Dunia pendidikan menjadi salah satu target penyebaran benih bullying yang sangat potensial. Paham bullying cenderung mengabaikan aspek keragaman (uniformity) dan meniadakan kebhinekaan (plurality). Kondisi psikologis remaja merupakan masa yang rentan dan sensitif terhadap pengaruh lingkungan. Pada masa ini, remaja identik dengan masa pencarian jati diri dan adanya keinginan untuk memantapkan filsafat hidupnya. Layanan bimbingan konseling merupakan salah satu layanan dalam dunia pendidikan yang sangat strategis dalam menanggulangi penyebaran benih bullying. Layanan konseling melalui konsep multikultur dinilai sangat diperlukan dalam membentuk pribadi remaja yang mampu untuk saling menghormati dalam setiap perbedaan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menunjukkan bahwa konseling multikultur merupakan salah satu cara menumbuhkan sikap beradab peserta didik sehingga tidak terjebak pada pemahaman yang salah terhadap perbedaan.Kata Kunci: konseling multikultur, bullying
Indonesia, as a multicultural country with diverse ethnicities, religions, teachings and understandings, opens opportunities for various understandings to influence it. The world of education is one of the potential targets for spreading the seeds of bullying. The notion of bullying pays attention to aspects of diversity (uniformity) and negates diversity (plurality). The condition of adolescence is a period that is vulnerable and sensitive to environmental influences. At this time, adolescents are identical with the period of identity and the desire to strengthen their philosophy of life. Guidance and counseling services are one of the services in the world of education that are very strategic in tackling the spread of bullying seeds. Counseling services through the concept of multiculturalism are considered indispensable in shaping the personality of teenagers who are able to respect each other in every difference. Therefore, this study intends to show that multicultural counseling is one way to foster civilized attitudes of students so that they are not trapped in the wrong understanding of differences.
