This study investigated whether the effect correlation exists between the Transformational Leadership, Interpersonal Communication, Organizational Conflict and Organizational Effectiveness in dayah in Aceh. Data were collected by questionnaires by 90 teachers in 3 pesantren, analysis using Path Analysis. The study found that the transformational leadership was most frequently employed, followed by the interpersonal communication, and then organizational conflict. The study found a positive effect transformational leadership, interpersonal communication and organizational conflict towards organizational effectiveness. Finally, organizational effectiveness differed according to leadership and communication factors. Suggestions from this research are there is a need to develop the organizational effectiveness by attitude, motivation and technology in utilizing existing resources in the pesantren, dayah program and unit program. Findings of this study also open a new area of research on dayah principalship, performance, and effectiveness in the Aceh Government.
The ability to recognize letters is an important ability developed in children to prepare children to enter the next level of education. This study aims to develop the ability to recognize the letters in children using big book media in Mutiara Almadani Kindergarden. This research uses classroom action research approach (collaborative classroom action research). The study population is children of Mutiara Almadani Kindergarten Sungai Penuh City which amounts to 200 people which is divided into 10 study groups and sampling technique is cluster sampling, that is B3 group which is 20 children. Data collection techniques are observation, interview, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative analysis with percentage and qualitative analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to recognize letters that is in the initial condition of 45% increase in cycle I to 60,42%, in cycle II increased by 75% and in cycle III to 88,33% with very developed criteria good. Thus it can be concluded that the media big book can develop the ability to recognize the letters of children in Mutiara Almadani Kindergarten Sungai Penuh City.
The purpose of this study was to develop a multimedia learning to improve student motivation and outcomes in studying chemical equilibrium. Development of interactive multimedia development model is adapted from Lee and Owens, the steps were analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The Media developed combined texts, animations, videos, references, summaries, profiles, pictures and narration to visualization abstract concepts of chemical equilibrium. After validation and trials at small group the media was used in a teaching class. It shoved that the media may be helpful for low motivations students in studying chemical equilibrium and improved students achievement.
This research is descriptive qualitative research. the purpose of this research is to analyse the pedagogical content knowledge of science’s teachers SMA Negeri 11 Kota Jambi, by using purposive sampling technique consist of nine teachers, they are two chemistry teachers, three biology teachers, three mathematics teachers and one physic teacher ware taken as a research subject are categorized as experienced, teachers who are competent in their field base on their educational background. Data collection was conducted a questionnaires reseach instruments by using a Likert scale measurement, then followed by interviews to a mathematics teacher, a physic teacher, a biology teacher and a chemistry teacher which is reinforced by chech of documents and field observations. The result showed that teacher’s knowledge of pedagogical content knowledge still low, it can be seen from the seven aspects of PCK teachers only four aspects that can be mastered by the teacher, they are knowledge learning strategies, knowledge of the subject matter and education learning, knowledge of communication with learners and knowledge of assessment and evaluation. three of PCK teachers who still don’t understand yet are knowledge of learners and their characteristics, knowledge of curriculum development and knowledge of potential learners development.
This study aimed to describe the success of the management of a language laboratory in improving students’ Arabic language competence. This was a qualitative descriptive study. The research findings show that the language learning process through the laboratory increased the students’ listening and speaking skill. The language learning process through the laboratory was supported by extracurricular activities. This activity also had a positive impact on language learning achievement of students who previously did not understand Arabic. Then, laboratory as a place for accommodating students’ talent such as laboratories was very helpful for students in the learning process; this was because the students could communicate directly with native speakers. The implementation of the development of teaching and learning activities using the Arabic language laboratory was directed to students through inservice training programs. The evaluation program was conducted by Arabic language lecturers to see the level of achievement obtained by students after finishing studying in two ways, namely competitive and non-competitive.
