Di era yang modern ini teknologi digital telah memasuki berbagai aspek kehidupan. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan yang diiringi dengan perkembangan teknologi digital yang begitu pesat selama beberapa dekade terakhir. Dunia perancangan arsitektur baik itu di bidang profesional maupun di bidang pendidikan arsitektur tidak luput dari pengaruh teknologi digital. Teknologi digital telah menggeser metode tradisional dalam dunia desain arsitektur walaupun pada faktanya masih ada beberapa arsitek atau desainer yang menggunakan metode tradisional. Hal ini disebabkan dengan menggunakan teknologi digital proses perancangan arsitektur menjadi lebih efisien dan mudah. Disamping itu dengan menggunakan teknologi digital dalam proses desain arsitektur juga memungkinkan arsitek atau desainer untuk bereksplorasi terhadap bentuk-bentuk geometri yang tingkat kompleksitasnya lebih tinggi. Hal ini dimungkinkan karena dengan perkembangan teknologi digital yang begitu pesat, komputer tidak hanya digunakan sebagai media untuk menghasilkan produk gambar atau mempercepat proses desain saja (komputerisasi) , akan tetapi komputer sudah berperan aktif dan dijadikan bagian dalam proses perancangan arsitektur (komputasi). Dengan demikian arsitek ataupun desainer dengan bantuan teknologi digital mampu menciptakan inovasi - inovasi baru dalam dunia perancangan arsitektur. ABSTRAK Salah satu nilai yang ditonjolkan warung kopi (warkop) adalah fasilitas bebas internet atau sering ditulis free wifi. Tempat ini dikunjungi orang pada jam-jam istirahat atau pulang kerja. Pada hari Jumat petang atau Sabtu dan Minggu, anak-anak usia sekolah dasar dan menengah banyak dijumpai di sana. Mereka duduk berkelompok dan memainkan gawainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku mereka di warung kopi, mulai dari tujuan berkumpul dan konten yang diakses. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan perspektif sosiologi komunikasi. Temuan yang penting dalam penelitian ini adalah anak-anak yang mendapat perhatian dari orang tuanya membentuk kelompok yang bertujuan mengakses internet untuk bersenang-senang, yakni dengan game online yang relatif sehat. Anak-anak yang kurang mendapat perhatian cenderung mempunyai kebebasan mengakses internet sehingga konten yang diakses berpotensi negatif, seperti game yang mengandung pornografi dan bahkan video porno. ABSTRACT One of the values highlighted by the coffee shop (Warkop) is an internet free facility or it is often written 'free Wifi'. This place is visited by people during their break time or after work. On Friday afternoon or Saturday and Sunday, elementary and middle school students are often found there, sitting in groups and playing the gadget. The purpose of this study was to determine their behavior in coffee shops, ranging from the purpose of gathering and the content accessed. The research approach is qualitative with the method of observation and in-depth interview. The data obtained were analyzed by Communication Sociology perspective. The important conclusion of children who get attention from their parents formed a group that aims to access the internet to have fun, that is with a relatively healthy online game. While less-attention children tend to have the freedom of accessing the internet so that accessed content is potentially negative, such as games that contain pornography and even pornographic videos.

Title: The Interpretation of Meaning in Aceh Coffee Shop The gathering tradition in Acehnese people for silaturrahmi has long been established. A coffee shop is one of the artefacts from Aceh traditions or gathering culture for Acehnese people. Coffee shop is a place for social interaction and other various activities. One example of case that was taken is Solong Coffee shop located in the city of Banda Aceh. The purpose of this paper is to explore the spirit or genius loci that makes coffee shop in Aceh continue to live and thrive. By using the thinking of Norberg-Schulz, it will be studied and explored for more about image, space and character that create the genius loci in a Aceh coffee shop to attract the Acehnese people to choose the coffee shop as a place to do their various activities and social interaction. Reviewing these elements will obtain many factors that affect a place such as the meaning, identity and history of the place.

Rumoh aceh is a Acehnese traditional house which is one of the products and artifacts of the Acehnese culture. Efforts to preserve rumoh aceh often focus on physical aspects or aspects of form that are seen directly. This has led to the discovery of many new buildings that adopt the architectural form of rumoh aceh directly without a more comprehensive elaboration and transformation process. A concerted effort is required to present rumoh aceh architecture in a modern context. Transformation is one of the methods in architectural design to be able to present new ideas that are creative and innovative. The transformation in this paper is obtained through an encoding process that employs a semiotic approach as a method for bridging the rumoh aceh architecture transformation process. The encoding process is carried out by reinterpreting the values of rumoh aceh architecture obtained from previous research. The aim of this paper is to gain knowledge regarding the architectural design process that can present a creation that represents regional culture, in this case to present rumoh aceh architecture in a modern context.
