The development of leading commodity agribusiness centers was an initial activity to develop economic area, especially in Banyuwangi. One area in Banyuwangi that had great potential in the development of the dragon fruit agribusiness center was Jambewangi. The implementation of this organic dragon fruit farming system had various advantages including: the price of dragon fruit could be sold higher, environmentally friendly, and healthy. However, there were several problems in Jambewangi, such as the marketing system of organic dragon fruit still not optimal because farmers could not directly sell the dragon fruit to consumers. Organic dragon fruit farmers must deposit their harvests to middlemen (collector traders), therefore the benefits were not optimal. Another problem was dragon fruit as a perishability, seasonal, requires a lot of space, and not uniform.The various problems above caused the need for an institutional design model of organic dragon fruit agribusiness to increase farmer's incomes. This study was aimed to design and analyze the institutional model of organic dragon fruit agribusiness in Jambewangi, Banyuwangi. Prediksi hasil pertanian sangat dibutuhkan dalam hal perencanaan dan pengambilan keputusan serta dalam pengambilan kebijakan untuk ketahan pangan nasional. Salah satu komoditas strategis yang membutuhkan perhatian khusus adalah padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi hasil panen padi dengan menggunakan pesawat tanpa awak. Hasil akuisisi citra diolah dengan metode multi thresholding untuk memisahkan objek daun, malai padi, dan background. Selanjutnya hasil pemilahan objek dijadikan input dalam pembuatan model prediksi hasil panen padi dengan mengunakan jaringan syaraf tiruan. Untuk membandingkan hasil prediksi, maka dilakukan penimbangan berat panen padi pada tiap blok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa antara prediksi dan actual memiliki korelasi sangat kuat dengan R2 = 0,81, nilai MSE (Mean Square Error) = 0,279 dan MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) adalah -0,020. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa model prediksi hasil panen padi dapat digunakan untuk keperluan perkiraan.
Corn is a strategic commodity due to its high carbohydrate and protein content. In recent years, consumption for corn has increased because of the increasing population and high demand of corn from milling industries, livestock feed industry, and food consumption. The corn production fluctuates depending on weather and the presence of pests and diseases, whereas, corn consumption increases every year. Hence, the disequilibrium between production and consumption makes price fluctuate. There are many undesirable effects on the increase, such as: decrease or increase in the purchasing power of buyers and financial loses.
Kemampuan lingkungan hidup untuk mendukung perikehidupan manusia perlu untuk terus diawasi guna menjamin keseimbangan antara aktivitas manusia dengan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sebaran kemampuan lingkungan dalam mendukung penyediaan pangan di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan cara pembobotan dan tumpang susun dari data spasial dan data tabular tata guna lahan, bentang alam, dan tutupan vegetasi alami. Hasil penelitian dikelompokkan kedalam lima kelas kategori mulai dari sangat rendah hingga sangat tinggi. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa daya dukung jasa ekosistem penyedia pangan Kabupaten Banyuwangi masih didominasi oleh kategori tinggi seluas 2,269.34 km2 atau 63% sedangkan kategori sedang seluas 1,216.84 km2 atau 34% dari total luasan.
