Durch Zugabe von Zn‐Staub zu einer Lösung der Nitrosulfone (I) in wäßrigem Ethanol lassen sich die Ausbeuten an Hydroxylaminosulfonen (II) optimieren, wenn die Reaktion sofort nach Beendigung der Reduktion (0.75 min) unterbrochen wird.
