This study aimed to compare the bioclimate and energy consumption of two coffee wet processing facilities in Colombia, with two typical types of Colombian coffee, using computer simulation. Specifically, we evaluated the effect of the heat generated by machines and the effect of the natural ventilation area on temperature and relative air humidity inside these buildings and their energy consumption. The postharvest plant with typology b gave the best results in terms of temperature and relative humidity suitable to preserve the quality of the coffee bean. Its approximate energy consumption was 30% of the total consumed by typology a.
Rose production in Colombia takes place almost entirely in naturally ventilated greenhouses. The objective of this work was to replicate the characterization of the microclimate generated inside a greenhouse through the modeling of air flows using CFD software, taking into account the evapotranspiration of the crop. The CFD-3D model used was validated by collecting experimental data collected in the field, focusing on the variables of temperature and relative humidity. The results obtained show that for the evaluated condition the generated microclimate varies if evapotranspiration is taken into account in the model, although the conditions found are still optimal for rose production

AbstractThe development of the rural villages has been little documented. It is difficult to find graphic information on urban planning or studies about the characteristics of the same, however with the growth of Brazilian agribusiness, such studies are needed to generate new proposals aimed at improving the quality of life of the rural labor and consequently of the agricultural production. Based on four case studies were identified and synthesized in this paper the basic characteristics of rural villages in Brazil, since the urban point of view and it was found that the concept of teamwork satisfies the conditions for the proper functioning of a rural villages, giving place the development of alternatives that have just synthesized in a projectual proposal that collects the basic urban characteristics of rural villages in Brazil.Key words: Urban planning, teamwork, rural labor.
