Methodology: A retrospective, cross-sectional, descriptive study was carried out in patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. Results: These averages stood out in the study: mean age 62 years, HbA1c 7.4%, LDL cholesterol 106.57 mg / dL, glomerular filtration rate 75.79 mL / min and albumin creatinine ratio 73.96 mg / g. 69% of the population had high blood pressure, 55% were overweight, and 24.9% had obesity. The Spearman correlation indicated a relationship between age and glomerular filtration rate (r -0.526, p 0.001).
Conclusions:The symptoms of the diabetic patient in this consulting room were associated with cardiovascular factors, overweight or obesity. Therefore, more prevention and care measures are required in treatment.
