Odontogenic myxoma is a mesenchymal odontogenic tumor that is aggressive and locally invasive. Recurrence rates in jaws are high, mainly by the absence of epithelial coating that allows infiltration in surrounding bone, which makes it difficult for total removal. Consequently, the treatment is rather challenging and rehabilitation options are controversial, requiring a multidisciplinary approach. In most cases, autogenous bone grafts or vascularized flaps are performed as adequate tissue reconstruction and to allow implant placement. Here, we report a case of satisfactory post-resection of extensive odontogenic myxoma using autogenous iliac crest bone and synthetic grafts, implant placement, and fabrication of implant-supported prosthesis.
