Purpose-The purpose of this paper is to determine the key factors that influence the probability of tourists' return intention to the Opatija Riviera. Methodology-A structured questionnaire with a 5 point Likert scale was used within this research. The authors used the descriptive statistics to determine the satisfaction with the destination attributes, and attitudes regarding the novelty of offer and possibility of future revisit. With the use of T-test a statistically significant difference was determined for the score for the accommodation capacities, natural resources and novelty. Correlation analysis was used to determine the association between accommodation, natural resources, cultural resources, novelty, and return intention. Logistic regression model was used to get a better understanding of the factors that may influence probability of tourists' return intention. Findings-Results indicate high level of satisfaction of tourists with the accommodation offer and natural resources, while the results for cultural tourist resources were not up to expectations. The results for novelty are moderate and consistent with the results expressed about possible return intention to Opatija Riviera in the future, which indicates the need for significant improvements within the offer. The results of a logistic regression model determined that the best predictors for repeat visit of tourists are primarily accommodation services, followed by natural resources and finally novelty. Contribution-Based on the findings acquired within this paper the authors proposed the guidelines for tourist offer improvement with a goal of increasing the satisfaction of tourists and stimulating them to revisit Opatija Riviera in the future.
Purposeto present a new potential project in the field of wine tourism. Constantinople wine route (CWR) or Carigradski vinski drum (CVD) is a new project of wine tourism with a name and a historical significance based on its incomparably older predecessor, Constantinople road. The Constantinople Road was built by Romans in 33A.D. However, culturally speaking, CWR acquired its highest importance in the Middle Ages when it became an important trade road connecting Asia and Europe. Wine, gastronomy, and all other tourist contents were added to the Constantinople road, turning it into an attractive tourist route called simply the Constantinople Wine Route. Methodologyfor the purposes of this paper survey was conducted using the method of semistandardized interviews with owners or managers of 53 wineries on the route of the CWR. This paper contains analysis of all the content required for the development of a new wine route, based on the interview of all potential service providers and the available data. Findingsdifferent parts of the CWR provide various contents when wine tourism and wine offer are concerned. The route is rich in good and worldwide award-winning wines, which is extremely important for professionals and top wine experts. The tourist infrastructure can be considered acceptable, though not ideal. Contribution -This paper has a significant contribution because it offers a proposal for the establishment of a new wine road -Constantinople wine route, which can connect several countries. Due to the lack of adequate theoretical and scientific literature dealing with this topic, this paper can be useful for anyone interested in wine tourism. This paper represents a starting point for further research by the author.
Nautical Tourism represents one of the most important and significant elements of today´s Croatian tourism product. This specific form of tourism experienced significant qualitative changes over the years due to the changes in the preferences of today´s yachtsmen, who are still very interested in experiencing natural attractions of the destination they reside in and in spending active holidays. Besides, they are increasingly oriented towards maximum quality and luxury of the tourism offer more than ever and are willing to pay for it significantly. The most recent results indicate that today´s yachtsmen show a significantly high level of satisfaction with the Croatian nautical tourism offer. However, in order to be able to satisfy their growing needs, it is necessary to introduce additional improvements of the current tourism offer elements, as well as new elements, with the primary focus on satisfying the need for luxury. The main purpose of this paper is to present the current state of the Croatian Nautical Tourism and the importance of introducing elements of luxury in its offer, all with the goal to provide a greater level of satisfaction for yachtsmen and to position Croatia as a competitive nautical tourist destination within the world’s nautical tourism flows.
