Purpose: The purpose of this article is to investigate the role that the public sector plays in the process of creating financial resources for economic growth and employment opportunities.
Theoretical framework: One technique to envision the public sector is as an ascending ring of institutions, with the central government at the center, followed by agencies and public corporations. Companies that are either directly or indirectly affiliated with the government and are publicly traded surround the ring.
Design/methodology/approach: This is descriptive based study. In this research paper we survey on random sample of private sectors companies data.
Findings: As a result, it offers job prospects, which adds to the increase of a nation's financial resources. The public sector is the component of the global economy responsible for supplying important services such as infrastructure, public transit, education reform, and security services such as the military and law enforcement.
Conclusion: The scope of government action can now be described in relation to the whole economy. Just one example of the various ways in which the public sector can contribute to economic development is the provision of health and educational services by the public sector, which combined make up a large percentage of the Human Development Index.
With the help of modernisation and digitalisation, SAIL has been making efficient use of its resources to maintain sustainability in the domestic as well as global market. The technological reformations taken up by the higher authority with the financial support of the government plays an eminent role in maintaining the sustainability of the organisation. This study critically focuses on the secondary quantitative data collection and statistical analysis to show the performance and growth of the SAIL. This study aims to deliver the information about the SAIL performance after expansion opportunity in the country by the support of government and dents the technology integration importance for developing the potential of competitiveness in the market. Moreover, it explores the knowledge about the safety practice through adoption of technology in the steel plant that helps their employees to get information about safety guidelines and also provides information technology roles that help administration to make decisions. It explores the information about the technology support to enable the high strength steel production.
Purpose: The study focussed to understand the reforms that influenced the performance of the PSEs in India with a special focus on SAIL, to analyse the role played by the reforms taken in a public enterprise in increasing the performance of SAIL and to examine the significance of such reforms in increasing the effectiveness of public sector enterprises.
Theoretical Framework: This assessment, the performance of the public sector enterprises of India is going to be discussed in reference to the reforms made by the Government of India with reference to the SAIL (SAIL, 2023).
Design/Methodology/Approach: The research topic has been talking about the reforms that have been made in Steel Authority of India Limited which would require quantitative data from various sources and then its analysis.
Findings: The government changed its economic policy in the year 1991 and thus made provision for the privatization of non-profit making public sector enterprises (Kunmin and Panchanatham, 2019). SAIL was among the profit-making PSUs of India as it is the largest steel producer in the country.
Conclusion: Article reveals that the research aimed to provide an assessment of the impact of reforms on the growth and performance of PSEs like “Steel Authority of India Limited”.
