The productivity of white pepper plants and the low quality of yields are the main problems that should be corrected in the management of smallholder plantations in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. This study aims to determine the factors affecting farmer participation in implementing GAP, as well as how the GAP was implemented. The study was conducted in 3 districts namely West Bangka, Central Bangka, and South Bangka as a center of white pepper production. The respondents consisting of 142 farmers who applied GAP and 82 non-GAP farmers. By using the logit model, it is found that older farmers, more educated, have more family members, have larger planting areas and farmers who are more active in participating in GAP socialization will have more chances of deciding to implement GAP. The implementation of white pepper GAP for each component, on average ranged from 67 to 95 percent.
This paper aims to analyze the potential for community cocoa development in Bangka Island by determining the main priority factors and calculating the economic potential of the people's cocoa. In determining priority factors using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, with 25 farmer respondents whose role is to provide views and determine alternative priority criteria as determinants of future cocoa development in this area. The results of the AHP analysis stated that the main priority as the basis for developing cocoa farming in the future is market security, the second priority is the dissemination of GAP and the third priority is the availability of superior seeds. The results of the analysis of the economic potential of people's cocoa explain that smallholder cocoa in Bangka Island will generate revenue of Rp. per hectare per year if it is cultivated properly.
This study aims to determine the priority superior product of Pangkalpinang City and its development strategy, concerning the preparation of the Regional Industrial Development Plan. In determining the superior product through 2 (two) stages, namely the identification of the leading processing industry subsector, then the superior product is identified based on the superior processing industry subsector. In determining the priority of superior product alternatives, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used. Based on the results of the AHP analysis, it was determined that processed food products made from fish raw materials such as shredded, Surimi, Fish Oil, key citrus drink products and fertilizers as well as fish feed and biodegradable packaging were the flagship products of Pangkalpinang City. Furthermore, the product development strategy is formulated using a SWOT analysis.
Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung merupakan salah satu provinsi penghasil perkebunan di Indonesia. Berdasarkan Badan Pusat Statistik (2021) sektor pertanian, kehutanan dan perikanan memberikan kontribusi pada Produk Domestik Bruto (PDRB) di Bangka Belitung sebesar 4,06 persen. Desa Kemuja merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Mendo Barat. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan sosialisasi informasi mengenai koagulan Asap cair tersebut kepada petani dan masyarakat Desa Kemuja. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan persiapan program, Memberikan sosialisasi tentang asap cair sebagai koagulan (penggumpal) getah karet yang ramah lingkungan serta memberikan pelatihan penggumpalan getah karet menggunakan asap cair kepada petani karet. Analisis yang dilakukan dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil kegiatan pendampingan adalah Petani karet di Desa Kemuja antusias mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan tentang asap cair sebagai koagulan (penggumpal) getah karet yang ramah lingkungan serta kegiatan pelatihan menggumpalkan getah karet menggunakan asap cair LISA, asap cair Fronthea, dan asap cair Deorub SOP dengan konsentrasi 15%.
