Fish health is an important problem faced by Cantang grouper (Ephinephelus sp.) Hatcheries. Broodstock health management needs to be managed properly so as not to decrease the quality and production of Cantang grouper seeds. Cantang grouper broodstock health management includes the process of maintaining grouper broodstock, feeding, disease control and water quality management. The data collection method is done by recording the results of active participation, interviews and observations. Broodstock grouper cantang are maintained in ponds made of concrete with sizes ranging from 150 meter kibik and a depth of 3 meter. Pond cleaning is carried out once or twice a month with the addition of 2 kg of chlorine / 150 tons of water. Grouper broodstock is fed 10 kg for 24 broodstock. feed in the form of trash fish, squid, mackarel, vitamin C and vitamin E. The types of diseases that often attack grouper broodstock are Criptocaryon irritans, Benedia sp and Vibrio alginolyticus. Water quality parameters measured in grouper broodstock ponds are salinity and temperature. The water salinity in broodstock ponds ranges from 34 - 35 ppt and temperatures range from 27-31 derajat celcius.
Red Cherry ornamental shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) is a freshwater ornamental shrimp that is in great demand for aquascape. Feed is one of the variables with the highest cost in the Red Chery ornamental shrimp farming business. This study was conducted to determine the effect of fermented feeding market vegetable waste on the growth of Red Cherry ornamental shrimp. This research was conducted in June-July 2021 using a Complete Random Racangan with 5 treatments and 3 tests at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Jenderal Soedirman University. The treatment given is the feeding of fermented feed from waste mustard, carrots, bean sprouts, and cabbage vegetables, as well as the feeding of spirulina as a control treatment. The observed parameters are absolute length and weight gain, specific growth rate, survival and water quality. The data from the study were analyzed statistically with the F ANOVA Test and the tukey test if there were differences between treatments. The results showed that the control treatment obtained markedly different results (P>0.05) from other treatments for absolute length and weight growth parameters. Bean sprouts vegetable waste gives the best yield (6.8±0.22%) for a specific growth rate. The survival rate value between treatments did not show any significantly different results (P<0.05). Water quality parameters in the maintenance medium are classified as feasible for the life of Red Chery ornamental shrimp. In this study, feed from fermented bean sprouts vegetable waste can provide the best growth for Red Chery ornamental shrimp
Before undertaking the cultivation of eel (Monopterus albus) in clear water to obtain optimal results, it is necessary to conduct a business feasibility analysis simulation study. This study aims to determine the feasibility analysis simulation of eel cultivation in clear water as an illustration to start aquaculture business. The method used in this study is a literature review or library research, where the data collection method is entirely with secondary data or literature study. Secondary data is collected by reviewing from references in the form of journals, books and online articles that are still related. The calculation of business feasibility analysis is carried out by calculating investment costs, fixed costs, variable costs, calculating production costs, revenues, R/C Ratio and PBP. The results of the calculation of the business feasibility simulation show that the production cost is Rp. 12,921,000/year, revenue of Rp. 25,350,000/year, a profit of Rp. 21,043,000, R/C Ratio of 1.6 and PBP (Payback Period) of 0.008 where the investment capital for eel cultivation will return in less than 1 year. Therefore, the eel cultivation business in the first quarter of 2022 can be said to be profitable and feasible.
Ikan guppy HB Gold (Poecilia reticulata) merupakan salah satu strain guppy yang mudah untuk dibudidayakan serta memiliki permintaan yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menambah wawasan tentang cara budidaya ikan guppy HB Gold (Poecilia reticulata) skala rumah tangga dengan substrat dasar yang berbeda, dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat diaplikasikan oleh masyarakat umum untuk memulai usaha perikanan dengan modal kecil. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 2 ulangan. Hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif serta di bandingkan dengan literatur terdahulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua perlakuan mampu menghasilkan benih ikan dan tumbuh dengan baik. Dimana P1A menetaskan 27 larva; P2A 0 larva; P3A 26 larva, sedangkan pada P1B dan P2B masing-masing 4 larva dan P3B sebanyak 21 larva. Parameter kualitas air diperoleh suhu akuarium pemijahan dan pembesaran antara 25-26°C, dan pH antarar 6,5-8. Maka dari itu dapat diketahui bahwa budidaya ikan guppy skala rumah tangga dapat diterapkan.
