AbstrakMitra pada kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru SMP Negeri 8 Palopo sebagai upaya meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru melalui PKM lesson study. Lebih dari 85% siswa harus melakukan remedial ujian akhir semester agar memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Program kemitraan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan guru-guru SMP Negeri 8 Palopo tentang pemenuhan hak belajar siswa. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra maka solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan lesson study. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya pengetahuan guru dalam bentuk membuat chapter design dan lesson design dengan berkolaborasi dengan teman sejawat, serta peningkatan pemenuhan hak belajar siswa ditandai dengan terciptanya suasana pembelajaran yang aktif, kreatif, efektif, inovatif, dan menyenangkan. Selain itu, PKM lesson study menghasilkan luaran berupa artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasi melalui jurnal nasional dan prosiding seminar international.Kata Kunci: Lesson study, Kompetensi pedagogik, Hak belajar siswa AbstractPartners in this activity are the teachers of Palopo 8 Public Middle School in an effort to improve teacher pedagogical competence through PKM lesson study. More than 85% of students have to do a remedial final semester exam to meet the minimum completeness criteria. This partnership program aims to increase the knowledge of teacers of SMP Negeri 8 Palopo about fulfilling student learning rights. Based on the problems faced by partners, the solution offered is lesson study Training and Assistance. The rsults of this activity are an increase in pedagogical competence marked by increasing teacher knowledge in the form of creating chapter designs and lesson designs by collabrating with peers, as well as increasing the fulfillment of student learning rights marked by creating an atmosphere of active, creative, effective, innovative, and fun learning. This study aims to develop the Environmental Learning Model (ELM) by using documentary videos to improve knowledge of coastal residents of Palopo City about mangrove, wastewater, domestic waste, and liveable house. There were two phases used in this research. The first phase examined the concept of the lesson plan, guidedbook, video material, evaluation tests, and answer sheets that were validated by the experts. In the second phase, two reviewers examined the practicality and the effectivity of the learning implementation. The validity result of the guided-book was in very valid category. The lesson plan was in very valid category, and the video material was also in the very valid category. This validation was carried out by educational expert and multimedia expert. Practicality: Two educational reviewers stated the syntax, social system, reactional principle, support system were implemented entirely. Effectivity: The learning result of environmental knowledge in the first trial was in the Medium category (47,5). And in the second trial, it improved to the High category (60,8).So, it can be stated that the development of learning model through documentary videos is valid, practical, and effective to be used in improving environmental knowledge for the coastal resident to avoid bad behaviour.
The massive emergence of virtual learning platforms in early 2020 has gradually replaced face-to-face interaction in the teaching and learning process throughout the globe. All teachers and students have used virtual learning platforms due to the impact of the Coronaviruses Disease-19 (Covid-19) outbreak since the beginning of December 2019, including teachers and students at MTs. Negeri Palopo. This research aims to figure out students’ perceptions towards the strategies used by the teacher in teaching English using virtual learning platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic at MTs. Negeri Palopo. The method used was a kuantitaf method. Through an online questionnaire, the researchers administered a close-ended questionnaire to the eighth-grade students of MTs Negeri Palopo. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and statistical analysis. The result of this research indicates that the students of MTs. Negeri Palopo had a very positive perception towards the strategies that the teachers used using virtual learning platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a mean score of 74,09.
This research aims to mitigate environmental problems through learning by using documentary films for fishermen groups whose environmental conditions have been damaged for years. The fishermen group were from Belopa, Harapan, and Munte Village, North Luwu Regency. The method used was action research by creating learning tools validated by two education experts in two learning actions to observe the learning components' feasibility. The validation of the learning plan and documentary film was in the "very valid" category, which means that these two tools are suitable for increasing environmental knowledge. Education experts also assessed that implementation of learning syntax components, social systems, reaction principles, and support systems was also "very valid." The learning outcome of the fishermen groups ware also improved. At the first action in Belopa, the students' levels were in the low and medium categories. Then at the second action, it increased to the medium and high categories. Meanwhile, at the first action in Harapan, the students' levels were in a low category. Furthermore, at the second action, it went up to the medium and high category. In Munte, the first action shows that the students' levels were in the low and medium categories. Then it increased to the medium and high category at the second action. Efforts to mitigate environmental problems through learning documentary films can increase fishermen groups' environmental knowledge in the low, medium, and high categories even it has not impacted the environment directly yet.
