The conversion of agricultural land in Sumedang of the year 2005-2014 reached 317 hectares. The land generally converted into housing, office buildings and public facilities. This study aims to conduct a comprenhensive evaluation of the factors affecting changes in land use, analyze the impact of the changes and develop management strategies. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach located in Sumedang District, West Java Province. Sampling was done by multistage random sampling. The first step is selection of the sample subdistricts purposively with consideration of subdistricts that convert of land use at most, they are: Sumedang Selatan, Jatinangor and Jatigede. The second step sample selection by simple random to residents who do changes their agricultural land use. The data obtained from questionnaires, interviews,observations, study of documents and mass media. Working method is based on a modification of the stages of strategic planning for the company. Formulation of the strategy carried out through three phases: phase determination of the key internal and external factors, phase matching using the SWOT matrix, as well as the decision phase using QSPM matrix. The resulting strategy is implemented in a more technical work steps. The results showed the factors that affect farmers convert agricultural land is decreasing productivity of the land, accretion of family members, the right of inheritance of land, high land prices, construction of public facilities and government policy. The most dominant factor affecting is different in each district. The impact of changes in land use in general is the opening of new agricultural land by cutting down forests, decline in rice productivity and the emergence of new unemployment and alteration or loss of livelihood. From the SWOT analysis matrix, obtained three possible strategic options. First, a policy review of spatial and territories; second, to encourage farmers to maintain agricultural land by providing agricultural inputs and extension the use of organic materials to restore soil fertility and the third private land use change should be governed by strict licensing mechanism.
This study aims to analyze the value of Willingnes to Pay (WTP) and the factors that influence the value of WTP to waste management retribution into compost. This research was conducted in Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency, West Java Province. Cileunyi District is estimated to produce garbage reaching 330 m3 per day or 115 tons/ day. The number of samples is 96 families, calculated by the Frank Lynch formula. To find out the factors that influence WTP, use the correlation test, ANOVA test and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 24 software. Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) is used to analize the value of Community’s Willingness to Pay the retribution. The results of the study obtained as follows: age, level of education, income and number of family members together (simultaneous) affect the Willingness to Pay (WTP), the influence of all factors is 39.9%, the number of family members does not significantly affect the WTP, the average value of waste retribution paid is Rp. 10,208,33 and the average value of WTP for waste management into compost or recycled is Rp. 20,572.92.
West Java provincial animal husbandry department reported that since 2012 s / d 2015 milk production in West Java has decreased on average by 4.58%. This is due to breeding patterns are not optimal and the reduced population of dairy cows.The business scale dairy farmers in Lembang district mostly small ie 2-3 individuals per household. This study aims to determine how much influence population characteristics (age, education and experience breeding) on the pattern of a dairy farm in Lembang district. Residents were used as the respondents in the study of 90 people who have dairy cattle business. Sampling was done by cluster method is simple and random gradually perfect. Statistic data analysis used was chi square test to see how the social economic correlate with the scale and financial management. The entire calculation of statistical tests using SPSS (Statistical Program For Service and Solution) version 17.0. Based on the research results of research that the business scale dairy cattle in Lembang district, Bandung regency is 2-4 tails, due to the capital factor and price competition so that farmers only assume the dairy farm as a sideline; social economic factors were correlated with the scale and pattern of financial management of dairy cattle Lembang district, West Bandung regency significantly are education, whereas age and breeding experience did not correlate significantly.
