Mn(III)-Based Reaction of Alkenes with Quinolinones. Formation of Peroxyquinolinones and Quinoline-Related Derivatives. -The Mn(III)-promoted aerobic oxidation of alkenes in the presence of 4-hydroxyquinolin-2(1H)-ones under different reaction conditions is examined resulting in the formation of various types of quinoline derivatives. The process is extended to the synthesis of quinoline-related heterocycles with similar success. -(NISHINO*, H.; KUMABE, R.; HAMADA, R.; YAKUT, M.; Tetrahedron 70 (2014) 7, 1437-1450, http://dx.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
