C 4þ and S 4þ -codoped titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) having a rutile phase was prepared. By doping C 4þ and S 4þ ions into a TiO 2 lattice, the absorption edge of rutile TiO 2 powder was largely shifted from 400 to 700 nm. 2-Methylpyridine and methyleneblue were photocatalytically oxidized at high efficiency on C 4þ and S 4þ -doped TiO 2 under visible light at a wavelength longer than 5 nm.KEY WORDS: TiO 2 photocatalyst; photocatalysis with visible light.
Femtosecond time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering has been observed from the C = C stretching of alkynes (monoalkylacetylenes and dialkylacetylenes). The dephasing of the C=C stretching of C3H7C-H is found to be accelerated in mixtures with either proton-donors or proton-acceptors. The dephasing rates of the m C stretching of monoalkylacetylenes ( C n H Z n + l m H ) with relatively long alkyl chains (n 1 4) are nearly the same and are accelerated in mixtures with dimethylformamide regardless of the length of the alkyl chain. On the other hand, the dephasing in dialkylacetylenes is not accelerated in mixtures with dimethylformamide, reflecting the absence of hydrogen bonding between dialkylacetylenes and dimethylformamide.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
