The article tells about the history of the department of physical therapy and clinical biomechanics of the leading domestic center, traditionally dealing with medical rehabilitation and spa treatment. It is difficult to overestimate the significant contribution of employees of this scientific and clinical department to the formation and development of the national school of physical therapy. The traditions laid down by our predecessors continue to this day.
