Objective: This study aimed to find the best SNEDDS meloxicam formula and analyze the release kinetics of meloxicam SNEDDS and non-SNEDDS using DDSolver. Methods: Meloxicam SNEDDS was prepared using sunflower seed oil, Cremophor RH 40 as a surfactant, and polyethylene glycol (PEG) 400 as a co-surfactant. Results: The best formula obtained subjected to the in vitro dissolution study was analyzed using DDSolver. The study shows one selected formula consists of 10% sunflower seed oil, 70% cremophor RH 40, and 20% PEG 400 with a 20.5 nm±12 nm droplet size. The dissolution study showed that SNEDDS could significantly increase the meloxicam release compared to the non-SNEDDS formulation. The kinetics of meloxicam release from SNEDDS formulations follow the Weibull release model (β = 1.00). Conclusion: This study concludes that SNEDDS best prepared in sunflower seeds oil: Chremophor RH 40: PEG 400 ratio of 1: 7: 2 and has the potency to increase the solubility and dissolution of meloxicam.
The screen printing home industry generates wastewater causing dangerous environmental pollution since it has heavy metal contents. Cassava peel is one material that can be activated and used as an adsorbent to treat the wastewater. This study aims to analyze the effect of mixing speed on dye adsorption using cassava peel waste in a batch reactor and mixed by the jar test device. In the process of making adsorbents, cassava peel was dried and carbonized in a furnace into a powder, and then it was activated using H2SO4 solution. Wastewater was contacted with the 10 gr of adsorbent then mixed in variation speed of 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 rpm and variation contact time of 30, 60, 90,120, 150 minutes. The maximum removal of 96.78% was observed in the mixing speed of 100 rpm over the 60 minute contact time. It could be concluded that organic waste such as cassava peel is a great adsorbent and resolves color pollution in the environment.
Background: Teledentistry is an alternative service using the application of information and telecommunications technology combined with dentistry through long-distance communication media. Teledentistry is nothing new in dentistry, but teledentistry is becoming more popular due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The government through the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia issued an appeal letter during the new normal period for teledentistry to be used, especially in public health center. Teledentistry is useful for screening pre-visit patients, selecting cases according to the priority scale of the need for treatment and the level of risk of exposure to COVID-19 infection to staff, as well as providing referrals and drug prescriptions if necessary. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has issued Technical Guidelines for Dental and Oral Medical Staff at First Level Health Facilities during the New Normal Period. Purpose: To find out the description of the knowledge of dental and oral medical staff towards teledentistry at the Balikpapan City public health center during the new normal period. Researceh Methods: Descriptive observation with a cross-sectional study design on the description of the knowledge of dental and oral medical staff towards teledentistry during the new normal period at the Balikpapan City public health center. Measurement of the level of knowledge using a questionnaire designed with a total of 13 statements. Result: The majority of dental and oral medical staff at the Balikpapan City public health center have good knowledge of teledentistry, as many as 90% of respondents. This is supported by the majority of respondents, as many as 71.7% of respondents have used teledentistry. Meanwhile, as many as 10% of respondents had sufficient knowledge and there were no respondents who had insufficient knowledge of teledentistry. Conclusion: Based on research that has been done on 60 dental and oral medical staff in 27 Balikpapan City public health center, the results represent that 90% (54) of respondents have good knowledge of teledentistry.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
